Hello, This is just my two cents and it might have been discussed before. I think it would be great if we could have weekly or monthly webinars . A chance for new pipsters to learn different approaches , a chance for old dogs to learn new tricks , keep us all motivated and feel more family oriented as a community. I have looked at my last 7 years in online marketing ad nothing has even come close to what pips has brought me but yet I still never really promote it very seriously . This old dog is getting tired and I need to vamp up my monthly income but like most people , there is really nobody to talk to. My wife shrugs, my family sees the check's but it is still not a tangible object to them. They only see it as time away from them and they actually think that I am having fun..sometimes I do, but sometimes I don't. I need communication with others who enjoy the power of pips and a way to share our knowledge and to keep the community in tact. To keep new members from quitting the 1st month after nothing to show for it. Pips Power hour or something...now we just need a volunteer to host these... Maybe , I am just taking out of my head but it has been on my mind lately. We need to come together and put something into action as I see it. If only I were a little better writer then I might be more convincing but I am reaching out to the upper echelon for some better direction with this. I joined back up with SFI just because I had a load of Affs and a few EA's but that sight loses my attention span. Different programs could be discussed within pips and the such. Anyways, just my 2 cents ... Jeff |

Hi Jeff, I would totally agree that a webinar would be a great way for people to voice their problems and concerns as well as addressing certain strategies that work and ones that dont. Not sure if this has ever been brought up. As of now, if you need help in learning how to make money with your PIPS site, the PPG may be your best choice. Of course that's not free and many cannot afford to join. In this case I would be in favor of a webinar. Who would run it and who would lead the discussions??? Matt |

While I agree, Stone is not in favor of this, or at least wasn't 4 years ago when I suggested it. As for 'Webinar' - the models that use an 800 bridgeline or other phone are totally out of it - both for the charges incurred at either end and for the technology itself (usability/compatability/reception). The method I suggested was an online VoIP web conference room where there are no phones involved and hence no charges. Right now though I would say the technology that would lend itself the best to an online conference is Skype. They have the ability to set up a 'conference call' for free on PC to PC calls. - you can have voice with just a cheap microphone and speakers, and/or you can text message so that there is no junk like 'I will email you a link' - you can just add the link right there and click right from there to hyperlink to any site. It also records the entire conversation (text) (not sure voice). Let's talk about this because I do agree the better programs are ones that have a sense of 'community' and this is really more possible in a non-anonymous-forum environment... |

Anyways, there are lots of options..lots of differ webinar programs..Im sure we could come up with a solution. Everyday, I see the same old questions asked...I just think it would great for a new person to get some live help and maybe get some general questions answered. |

Continuing from a previous post..... How about we give a incentive to attend the meetings...hmmm Lol..that's pretty sad we have to offer a incentive for someone to learn how to make some extra money. Anyways, its a idea ! We would just have to think of a worthwhile incentive and how we would pick the winner from the webinar. |

(remember I am in favor of a meeting) I just want to mention however that I offered free training in a web conference room for a few years - I created the courses with newbies in mind and covered all sorts of new and intermediate subjects Almost nobody from PIPS ever came - I mean maybe 1 or 2 came once - I held them every week and announced them all the time for the first year - So 'you can lead a man to water but you can't make him drink' The people who do not take advantage of the training or forum or bonuses are the same ones who won't participate in the 'webinar'. Again, I would be willing to give it a shot but I don't think there would be much response. |

I think you are right Pat. As helpful as it would be I just don't know how many people would actually take advantage of it. Just judging by the people who actually respond to and ask questions in this forum, it may not be worth the trouble. It seems like there are a ton of PIPS members out there but not a lot who actually participate and are willing to learn how to make it work. I could be wrong but it may be best to get a real count before starting anything like this. Matt |

I think this would be a brilliant idea, especially if those leading it were experienced pipsters. I for one would be an active participant. Graham |

Hello, I was just thinking that this might be a good opportunity for the PPG to hold one of these.. * Pips leaders ( mentors ) * Opportunity for them to showcase PPG Just some more suggestions |

I think that this would be a great idea. As far participation it seems as many of the webinars and training programs I've seen take place during the week in the middle of the day. Since I still work a day job I can never take advantage. If it were to take place on a Saturday on Sunday afternoon perhaps more would be able to attend. John |

I think this is a very good idea! I personally spend more time here answering then asking, and I've only been involved with PIPS for 4 months! Obviously, there is a need for some sort of ongoing training to take place, other than the "30 Days" program. I think that perhaps this idea may be thwarted by the fact that PIPS is initially presented as a "hands-free" program. Right now, this forum is the only place I know of to routinely get help and information on the PIPS program, and it's only once newcomers start to get involved that they start to ask questions. I will credit the members here, in almost every other forum I'm in, if a question has already been asked, a newbie is met with one answer only: SEARCH. Perhaps if repeat questions were not given fresh answers, and were instead referred to attend webinars, or the announcements for the webinars were "Stickied" at the top of the forum, more might attend? I'm not trying to discourage helping others, I'm all for it. But maybe this is a more effiecient way of doing it? I also second John McRae's post, about many working during the week. Perhaps a Sunday would work best, that way those who seek to learn can have something to put into practice over the following week... |
