Starting PIPS on a budget
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi PIPSters
Few days before I was reading Condor1’s posting and his reluctance to join PPG on budget issue. I agree with him, PPG price is a little bit high for me too. I differ with him about PPG’s importance to newbie like me though. I believe it is best to join PPG to achieve success within shorter period and with less investment, more importantly with less anxieties and worries. But I wonder what if my budget do not permits me to join PPG!

I prepared a step of actions (based on learning from Warrior-PIPS Support forum) for this situation and need your opinions, suggestions and corrections.

Step 1 Join PIPS only with Host4Profit and SFI (as it is free). Research extensively on Stones 30 days training, do what is available for free but do not join any paid services at the moment.

Step 2 Customize your PIPS either by learning HTML,using WYSIWYG editor, requesting a friend or by outsourcing.

Step 3 Find keywords to optimize your website after SEO researching (This is one of many issues where assistance of PPG is really needed) with available free tools.

Step 4 Start marketing with free resources and build back links with Free back link building services (includes Blogging, Article marketing , Forum posting, traffic exchange, Free Classifieds, submission to directories, submission to SEs, link exchange partnership, joint venture, Emails with Give away offers, off line promotion etc etc etc)

Step 5 Upgrade your Getresponse Account to Pro after 20-30 days from the day you started building back links and started free marketing. (I prefer 30 days)

Step 6 Join Empowerism, LCM and GDI after 45-60 (I prefer 60 days) days from the day you started building back links. No point giving away 2 months installment if you do not generate some of, they say “organic traffic”. Even if you can make some sales within this period you are having commission from Host4Profit & SFI and if that happens, immediately you can decide to join the other 3 paid ones by shortening your waiting period.

Step 7 From day 1 Visit Warrior forum regularly for learning, free stuffs and assistance needed on anything complex, like I am doing.

(However I think that ability to invest some money will always give advantage over the above free steps)

Am I missing something important in the steps or understanding some thing wrongly?

Hi Amree

I am really glad to hear your foot steps to success. We all here to take one step at a time to reach to the top! Good

I had never regretted that I could not join PPG even though it would give us achievment and success within shorter period. I hope you feel the same as me too. That's why you have come out with "a step of actions."

Honestly speaking, my step of actions are almost the same as you. Now I am in the midst of doing step four. I think step four is for a long run! It should be done over and over again....may be forever. Let's me tell you one...I am now start doing "PIPS special offer page" while doing all the things in step four. In order to distiinguish my PIPS with other, I have to do something dfferent like having
"PIPS special offer page." If you are instresting, you may add it in step four.

Other
opinions, suggestions and corrections?
Yap....Let's wait for other to tell and share.

Cheers
J.S

Hi J.S
Thanks for your comment. You rightly pointed out that step 4 is for life. I should have mentioned it.
Thank once more.

Hi Amreen,

You have a valid point....the upfront cost of joining PPG might seem too high to some people, but considering how much we SAVE you in both "wasted" money...and "wasted" time, it's really a no-brainer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: PPG was inspired and started by me as a way to help newbies get on the right track....to stop the spending, and focus on successful habits.

We don't make our money by pitching MORE products to you.....instead, we do our best to give you a step-by-step plan that can be done for free, or very low cost......therefore, in order to make PPG work as a business, we have to charge a membership fee that makes it worth our time.

However, the ability to walk side by side with people who have already accomplished what YOU are trying to do is nearly priceless.

For example...

How much would it be worth to you to be working at home full-time???

Hi Ken
I think you got me all wrong. I have no doubt on PPG services or PPG intentions. Personally I feel an urgency to join PPG (may be I will out of skin) and you may have justified PPG cost correctly. But my point was not concerned on PPG services nor justification of PPG cost. My concern was, however justified the PPG cost is, still there will be somebody who may not afford it over budget issue, however badly they wanted to join. And if this is the case, it is right to search for alternative way. That's what I was upto. Determining a alternative way and wanted to have suggestions from other successful and experienced warriors, which I have not got so far.
That's all. Thanks for starting PPG.

Amreen,

No problem.

Understood.

My post probably "sounded" more defensive....than I intended. I get to passionate about stuff, and sometimes my words sound too aggressive....because that's "who" I am.

Anyways....

Your outline is definitely a good one for newbies....except I would move #3 up to #1...keywords really is the FIRST thing everyone should be looking at, as that is the foundation of your business.

When compared to the world of off-line business (brick & mortar) with the example of a retail store.....keywords compare to the LOCATION of where you build your retail store. It is extremely vital to your business because that is "how" people find you.

Take care,

Ken

Hi Amreen,

Great tips...

I would agree with Ken and move step 3 (and step 4) ahead of customizing your website. The most important thing initially is getting traffic. I see too many people spending time on making their website "look nice" before they have any traffic. Concentrating on SEO and traffic first and then making some customizations to your site is the best way forward.

I'd also say, if the budget is very tight you could postpone upgrades until you start to see signups and optins.

Cheers,
Suzanne

I would put step 3 before step 2 personally, but otherwise so far I think you're good. It's late here now though, so I'm tired, but if I think of anything I'll post later.

However, it is good to research SEO keywords prior to revamping your site, so that you can integrate them into it and maximize the potential of the site as you redesign it. That's what I'm doing now!

Ken, I still must disagree with you. While I understand why you charge a membership fee, there are many of us on limited income who are unable to foot the bill, even if we wanted to. Myself, for example. I am on SSI, and cannot afford very much, and I've already overexhausted my budget for this stuff until I start earning more. So, for me it's nothing but slow and steady, but I'm not getting discouraged.

Similarly, for people in other countries, there are many whose currencies are much weaker than the dollar or pound or whatever, and their income is severely reduced compared with Americans, Canadians, British, etc. Therefore, they are physically unable to acquire the money required as well.

So, for those of us in those situations, the PPG is an unrealistic idea that is simply not worth scrounging for months just to obtain the necessary funds when we could be putting those months of time into building up our PIPS ourselves, and the simple necessities like food and clothing are a stretch!

Oh and Ken, sorry too if I sounded defensive. I, too, can be that way sometimes. I actually responded to your first post before reading the second because that was the easiest way to handle it with a screen reader, so again sorry if I seemed offensive or anything.

Hi Amreen,
You gave some very good tips.

About upgrading your Getresponse account - I suggest waiting until you have at least 5 subscribers in your list, some will say even 10. No point to upgrade if you don't have subscribers.

The same is about empowerism, GDI, LCM - Why join if you have no subscribers? When you see the traffic growing, start joining, first GDI, it is the cheapest and then the rest.
This way you are saving even more money.

Tanny

Exactly, zhuuraan. Though it would be very unlikely be understood (this currency problem) by them who lives in USA, Canada or west European countries and similar. Here I want add one more issue with zhuurann on currency. There are some countries simply do not allow to pay any foreign companies by any foreign currencies. Any such payment have to be authorized by central reserve Bank of that country. So having a lot of local currency does not guarantee lot of $ payment from here.
