Lead Capture Page concern.
Share on:

Hello all,

I am a new member of PIPS joined all the programs last week. Thank you Stone for developing this wonderful program.

One of the problems that I have ran into is with the lead capture pages given in the marketing tools section.

All of these pages lead to your main affiliate link which has another name and email request for Stone's awebber email list.

This can cause confusion with your client because they have just entered their name and email to get to your offer and then immediately they are asked for their name an email address again.

I am not sure how to fix this problem. Should I not try to capture email address for my personal responder and send them all straight to Stone's awebber email responder? Or, can we get another affiliate link page that does not request an email immediately? Ideas?

John - that is just not true.

I know it is confusing - only the confirmation screen goes to the sales page where you see Stone's newsletter 'mini series' (aweber)

I just signed up from one of my own lead capture pages and here is my confirmation EMAIL (from getresponse) - proving that the lead went to my Getresponse autoresponder, NOT to Stone's.

I used http://www.PlugInProfitSite.com/main-4711/pop1.html

Patrician,

Thanks for your response. I guess I need to clarify my statement before. I do not think that any of my statements were untrue. Yes it is true that if your client signs up for your email list they are added to your email marketing campaign, which I never called into question.

All of these [lead capture] pages lead to your main affiliate link which has another name and email request for Stone's awebber email list.
This means that the actual page leads to the web page that request another email.

This is the crux of the problem, the customer is asked for Name and email, he or she joins a list, then on the very next page that they are sent to they are asked to join another list. This double list join request is confusing.

They are on your list - the minute they put in their email address the first time on the landing page.

THEN they are sent to the 'confirmation page URL' which is the sales page that has the mini course - (stones newsletter) - they have the option to sign up AGAIN for that also.

I agree with you that it is confusing. Personally, I don't like the mini-course at the top of the sales page for any reason and this is another good one.

However, Stone wants it that way so there is nothing I can do - but I will discuss this with him.

The mini-course is actually intended for people who are not ready to take action to join the program and encourages them to do so. It is sent on your behalf and has all your links and if they do join from the newsletter or the sales page they will join under you.

So this is exactly the same as when they opt-in to your newsletter from anywhere (your site, the bottom of the sales page, ('Demo Newsletter'), or the squeeze page - either way if they join a program they are in your downline, which is the point of everything, right?

Yeah, well I guess if you have them captured in your email campaign that is all that really matters, they can then sign up for the course. I am not the professional here so if what Stone is doing works, who am I to doubt it. I'll just continue on with my regular marketing efforts.

I also asked this thing here before and I got the same answer/reply. There's nothing to worry about, we trust Stone that his mini-course for our prospects is loaded with affiliate links that are pointing to us, not to him, unless if the program being promoted is new and not yet in PIPS core programs. Well, that's how good he is in "list building" LOL .

Another thing, I guess PIPS is using cookies, so next time / anytime your prospects return to PIPS through the mini-course series that Stone will be sending them, they will always see your ID's/usernames, and your name at the bottom of the PIPS sales page recommending the program. It happened to me before. The first PIPS sales page that I visited belongs to Ewen Chia. Whenever I return to that page for a review, even if I manually typed the PIPS sales page address in the browser bar, I still see Ewen's name at the bottom of the page! That maybe because of cookies inserted to my computer.

Now, for those who are still in doubt, you may use the same strategy that I am using in this ad:

Make Money Online with Plug-In Profit Site! Philippines - 2809785

As you can see in that ad, there are two links in there. One is for capturing leads, and the other one pointing to the website hosted in my own domain name. I find this strategy very effective in capturing leads.

I hope this info helps.

hi,

This is my third week here and i was observing same problem.
Well i understand why this is. i mean, if someone is putting all the training, information and resources on the table for the cost of your domain name then i think making him my mentor wasnt a wrong decision afterall "The Money is in the List".

Yes, I also realized that, that's why I am sharing the strategy I have mentioned above. Capture your visitors' info first, before they arrive to your PIPS sales page.

I was wondering, should we put some information on our pages letting them know that on the next page they will be offered a Free Home Business Secrets email training course. Something like.

Please sign up to my home business newsletter and if you wish you can also get a Free Home Business Secrets email training on the next page.

You would have to host the squeeze page code yourself, in order to make a comment on it.

If you went that far I would just create your own squeeze page and don't have the confirmation page that goes to the sales page included in the process...

I think you are over worrying, specifically because the first thing they do there is sign up for YOUR newsletter series. Done deal - that is the point - what they do from there on is irrelevant really...*

(*other than they must receive the confirmation email from YOUR newsletter and click the link to confirm their subscription)...

Hi John,

You're definitely right that it could be done differently and possibly better than to go from one lead capture straight to the option of signing up for another list...

A few things to note about this process (and some options):

I've moved the sign up form on the PIPS affiliate link down some so it's not the very first thing to be given attention. This will help the flow some...

While it's possible there is still a better way to use those lead capture pages, I haven't tested anything that works better myself so I have to stick with what it is until I see a process work better.

Overall, I personally promote my PIPS affiliate link directly 99.9% of the time and this is what works best for me and our top affiliates in terms of making sales.

My mini-course follow-ups (now delivered through my GVO autoresponder instead of Aweber) are very effective at converting prospects into customers and are (from my point of view) absolutely essential to the sales process.

One option you have is to take the code of the lead capture page and install it on your own server, and change the destination URL to something you've created. As long as your destination URL is promoting the Plug-In Profit Site prominently, I give you permission to do this. All you would need to change in the code would be the section that looks like this:

<input name="confirmation" value="http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-0" type="hidden"> - and change the link inside that code to the page you want your subscriber to land on after they opt-in.

One other thing you would need to remove if you did this would be the McAfee Secure code which will not work if hosted in your server.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Stone Evans
