Hello Everyone, I would very much appreciate some helping me with an error message I'm getting while using LinkMachine. When I logged into my account the light was flashing on the Generate Link Page, so I clicked it and this error appeared at the top of the page. Error generating link pages. Using an FTP program, make sure write permissions are set to true on all of the link page files. Can someone please tell me what would cause that error, and how I go about fixing it. Thank you very much in advance for all your help. Martha |

Go to the folder where the files to be edited are stored. Right click on the folder, click properties. CHMOD it to 666 and all files within that folder should inherit that CHMOD. *should* Then, all files in that folder should have read and write permissions. If that fails, then you should go to each file one by one in that folder and CHMOD each to 666 and after you're gone, you should be good to go.

I am not familiar with webpanels. I have my own server and just do everything directly to the folders and stuff. I'm a dinosaur lol. What panel is this? cpanel? Whichever I think is you should highlight the folder in which the files to be edited are in, and then you should have an option to edit the folder's properties and there you should be able to edit the folder's permission where you grant it read/write permissions and inheritable to all files within the folder OR when highlighting the folder and going to it's options, it should let you CHMOD it and then so you can set it to 666 and let the files within the folder inherit that CHMOD and voila, all done. Is this windows or nix host account?
