I have been a PIP member since October 2008. I have made no money except for a few dollars from SFI. I either overlooked important information or I just am not doing it right. Is there anyone that is making real money? and if so please help me to do the same. Thanks

Yes there are a lot of people making money from PIPS. Yes it can be hard but it is completely doable. I understand you might get discouraged because you have been doing since October of 08, but I think you need reevaluate your game plan. According to Backlink Watch your site only has 23 backlinks. According to a keyword site I use, the keyword "work from home based business" is searched on an average of 12,100 times a month. When I type "work from home based business" into google, the first site has 12,000 yahoo backlinks. 2nd has 2,800 Yahoo links and the 10th has 900 links. Now you can't always go by this because it is never 100% accurate but it is a great guide to follow... Now for you to compete with these sites, you need to build up some backlinks. To do that, there is a lot of information here on how to do it. It is boring at times but it is needed. So I would say sit down and write up some kind of game plan. Of what you want to accomplish each day or week and stick to it. Go over a list of keywords and choose the one you think you can hit at the quickest rate. What forms of marketing have you been doing for the past year? |

Great advice, Matt - and I would add the following advice. I would say go and complete the 30 Days to Success training again - it is good for both new and old to do it periodically since it changes all the time. There are new instructions for hosting your blog, adding pages to your site, and some very low-cost and free methods of building backlinks. I know it probably sounds mean but the truth is after a year if you have only 23 backlinks, you seriously need to be more aggressive in your marketing. You should be blogging often, publishing articles, posting in forums - all these things are building backlinks. You should definitely learn about search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and apply them to everything above, all advertising, and to your site. (backlinking is an SEO strategy and there are other very easy techniques you can use to get free, targeted traffic.) Good luck! Pat |

I don't understand why I would have such a minimum amount of backlinks. I had assumed when I signed up for bizoppmarketing.com, where they are posting articles and blogs for its members, that I would receive a lot more backlinks than that.

I would have thought you would have more backlinks than 23 but that depends on how long ago you signed up for the co-op. As I always say, don't ever depend on any one thing - even the co-op - but use every method you can to promote your business aggressively and consistently. The co-op is a long-term strategy where it involves article marketing. As I have quoted Stone saying many times, he is still getting traffic and sales from 5-year old articles he published. You just can't see this business in the short-term but must look at everything you do as building a foundation (momentum). You need to sustain that momentum over time, for example with page rank. One day you may be on page one, but if you do not constantly create and publish more content, you will watch yourself slide down as others overtake your position. As well keep in mind that the co-op uses extremely expensive offline advertising that none of us could afford individually (magazines, etc). Nobody can guarantee results. All they can do is guarantee that they will do the advertising that you have paid for along with the rest of the co-op members. Something else to consider is if you have optimized your site so that the search engines will index it. The keywords used in the articles and blogs should be prevalent on your site for maximum results. Please contact the co-op and find out, if you have been a member longer than 30 days, why you don't have more backlinks. I make money with PIPS. Not as much as other seasoned members, but I am making a profit. However, I do make money through other avenues, and admittedly, more than through the PIPS programs. PIPS is a great way to get started and learning the ropes of how to start and run a website and make money with affiliate marketing. Thanks to PIPS, I have learned so much and have applied what I've learned to become successful with affiliate marketing in general. There's been times where I've wanted to quit. Let's face it, it's just plain hard, and that's probably where you're are at this point. They key here is to learn, learn and learn. Afterwards, you need to apply what you've learned towards your business. There is a TON of information here that you can start applying right away. I suggest you learn some SEO and start to do article marketing. This will help you build the necessary backlinks to your site. Also, don't spend any money if you can't afford it. There's no point in losing money if you're not first making it. Believe me, I would know. |
