Hi, Kathleen:

It's nice to see you checking in here. Welcome to the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) Support Forum.

I hear what you are saying about success being elusive. Hang in there. It's all a learning process and the more you develop your knowledge and skills, the better you will become at marketing and at attracting paying customers.

Examine what you are doing and how you are doing it and compare those things to the results you are getting (or not getting). From there, you may be able to determine what you need to do, or what you may need to learn, to become more effective and more successful. If you are determined and focused, you will succeed!

Hi riteforu

Welcome to the forum.

I have checked your site on Link Popularity Check
Link Popularity Check - Marketleap Search Engine Marketing Tools.

Link to your site: 380...it's reasonable quantity achiving these links during 6 month.
Your web pages: 3 only
Your web page seems to have lot of pages.

But I think search engine did not craw deeper to your other pages.
That's means SE won't take your site as having enough contents which may hurt your web site ranking.

You may go to google webmaster tool to solve this prob. Like creating google site map, creating your inner links which is links within your web pages, and ect.

I didn't see your blog within your web site. If you have blog from other site please try to transfer it to you server. It may steadily grow your web pages and unique contents which are loved by SE. Otherwise, please refer to 30 days to success training---day 8 to 11 if you haven't done so.

Best regards
JS

Hi, Have you analyzed your website? Are you ranking for any search terms? If you don't have any visitors you really wont make any money. Are you ranking for legitimate home business opportunities? I think your site has been penalized or has dup content because it cant be seen in Google search pages. just my two cents. Reevaluate your site.

Hi Kathleen.

I suggest you go back and complete the 30 Days to Success again - we have all done it more than once - not to mention that it changes all the time. Several more instructions have been added recently that can help you.

You don't mention if you are doing anything to promote your business and if so, what that is. If you are not blogging and submitting articles regularly to create backlinks, you should do that.

I am glad you have come to the forum since this is only your 3rd post in 6 months. It doesn't necessarily mean you are not participating in the program, but I have found the people who come to the forum seem to do better in the long run.

- the forum posts with your signature link also create valuable backlinks every time you post.

- hope to see you around here more in the future.

Hi Kathleen,

Pat has given some good advice as I always recommend that the 30 days should be viewed twice to settle in your mind what your strategy will be, Internet Marketing has many techniques such as writing articles, posting to your blog, commenting on other webmasters blogs, traffic exchanges, classifieds etc etc.

Just stay focused and don't be discouraged, it takes time and consistent effort but you will start to see results. It's all about creating links back to your site and if you are not sure about anything then come back to the forum and ask, you will always get a response here.

best wishes,

Mal.

82 errors and 5 warnings are normal. My web html errors show more than yours but it is still indexed by Search Engine.

You said, “I have a lot of links but no page rank” Is this your only problem right? These links are from other some other web pages especially from web 2.0 site... am I right?

I can tell you...Number one problem is you don’t have INTERNAL LINK much.
(In Google web master tool check Internal Link page-there must be very few your internal link)

From your main page I click many articles and other links. Once I reach to other pages I just see a few link that link back to your other pages. Just a few links ONLY. But I do not see any link from your article content that link back to other pages. Even from your BLOG, No link that link to other pages.

This MUST BE the biggest issue.

In order our web pages to be indexed and rank by Search Engines, their robot must craw deeper to other pages. In this case, you need to create LINKS on each page that link to other pages so that SE’s robot can find the way to craw deeper into your other pages.

So, try to create INTERNAL LINK! But relevancy is important.

For example
In your one of your web page, which is
www.rite-for-u.com/article.php?articleid=329588&issueid=3087
On second paragraph:
There are many things you should consider before starting your own online home business.

You can create a link by using “Online home business.” You may link that key word phrase to other related article(s) or blog. This phrase can be your anchor text too.

There are many ways you can create INTERNAL LINK...this is just a guideline and example only. Do as many as you can.

Another factor that SE cannot index and rank our web page is html issue. But I am not html expert so I cannot suggest anything but I don’t think so your site has html issue.

Did SE penalize your page? No I don’t think so too. Your page rank is 0/10...that means your site is on the right track.

Hope this help.

Re: hello, first time

thank you so much for the information I have a busy weekend planned with internal links

Patrician 23rd October 2009 10:06 AM

Re: hello, first time

I know it is natural to want to see results, but you should be focused on taking the action that will produce the results down the line.

If people start obsessing over results when it is too soon to really see anything substantial, it just tends to make you discouraged.

The saying goes 'this is not a sprint it is a marathon' - meaning this business should be looked at over the long-term. You are just building a foundation now.

Just keep learning and taking action with what you learn. So many people do a few articles or blogs, a few links, and then 'why don't I have a sale' - well it may take 1000 links or more before anyone even looks at it.

That is the nature of marketing - in any industry, off or online - always has been. That is why it is so critical to be aggressive in your efforts - there is too much to do to worry too much about results and inconsequential errors, etc. Don't get 'paralysis by analysis' - just take action consistently and keep pushing forward.

my two cents!

Re: hello, first time

According to Brad Callen, Internal Linking is the way you link to other pages within your own website.

According to Google webmaster central:

Internal links

The internal links page lists a sample of pages on your site that have incoming links from other internal pages.
To view internal links:
  1. On the Webmaster Tools Home page, click the site you want.
  2. Under Your site on the web, click Internal links.
The number of internal links pointing to a page is a signal to search engines about the relative importance of that page. If an important page does not appear in this list, or if a less important page has a relatively large number of internal links, you should consider reviewing your internal link structure.
If you're deleting or renaming pages on your site, check this data first to help identify and prevent potential broken links.
If you don't see any data on this page, it may be because your site is new and we haven't crawled it yet. If this is not the case, check the Crawl errors page to check if Google had any problems crawling your site.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Once your have created internal links please take a few days to see your internal links in googla webmaster tool.

I personally want to say A VERY IMPORTANT factor when doing Internal Links.

Use your main key word phrase which you have optimized for SE as anchor text to link to your other pages.

To your success

Hi cathfan

Thanks for asking me. Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question since I used to transfer my blogger blog to my server.

Fortunately, there are many people here to be able to answer your question since they used to transfer their blog on wordpress to their server.

I suggest that you just open a new thread here so that your question will be gotten more exposure in order to get proper answer.

Re: hello, first time

Google sees your site and has indexed it along with listing backlinks.

The errors you see are normal. Many of the sites you send to will not accept any sites or may not even work anylonger. You see the same ting when you "Ping" your blog, a bunch of errors. Some people say it is because of spammers who submit their sites to search engines over and over again and who repeatedly ping the same blog post and they are most likely correct.

You do not need to submit your site to search engines again. You risk the cjance of looking like you are spamming. Once Google and the other top search engines index your site as they have all you need to do is start building backlinks with articles and commenting on blogs.

Page rank does not come by submitting to search engines or by being seen by search engines. Building page rank takes a lot of work. You have to have a lot of quality backlinks as well as being ranked for specific keywords and most importantly you need a lot of visitors. It takes time to build page rank when you're new and it won't happen by submitting to search engines.

Hi Kathleen...

I've only been with PIPS a couple of months now. I've been spending most of my time promoting my site. Now I'm starting to work on my site...building backlinks and making some change to the site itself...to get a better ranking. Seem like their is always something to do. Keep working at it...don't give up...it will come together.
