How much money does your site bring in every month?

I used that site, which says that my site has a PR of 1. That is completely wrong. However, the price it says is actually pretty close to the value of my site currently. That surprises me.

I checked one of my sites on there as well Alan. The links were totally off but the value was fairly close. Like I said, you can get a ballpark figure.

Yeah, it certainly doesn't hurt. But, when it comes down to it, overall value is really based on how much money the site is bringing in on a monthly basis.

I wouldn't use what any free website valuator says as the value of your site. There are just too many factors to determine a sites value that most free online tools can't truly take into consideration.

If you use a bunch of them and most of them come up with similar values then it might be a good estimate but still most likely will not be what you actually get for your site. Sometimes they are high and sometimes they are low. You never know.

Once again like I said this is for a "ballpark" figure. I agree with Trent in that I wouldn't base a value from a free estimator either. The bottom line is this: Your site is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Anyway, how much does your site earn per month and where do the earnings come from? That will be the biggest factor in determining value but there are some others too.

Does it have high rankings for any competitive keyword phrases?

How much traffic does it get and where does it come from? Search traffic is usually best.

How much money do you spend per month on everything that has to do with the site?

Unfortunately, SE rankings may not hold much weight for potential buyers. They usually only look at how much income the site is bringing in. If you are serious about selling your site, you may want to PM Trent Brownrigg. He has helped me on more than one occasion with figuring out a relative figure of what my sites are worth, and he can also help you sell your site if you decide to do so.

All the best,

Alan

Alan is correct, your site value is mainly dependent upon how much money it earns per month, how long it has been earning at that level, and how much time/effort is needed each month for it to earn that amount.

Other things like SE rankings, traffic, pages, etc... Do have some value but not nearly as much as the current monthly income of the site.

Being ranked in the top 10 for Earn Money at Home is certainly a good feat and something to be proud of. However, that phrase only gets about 350 searches per day, which isn't really a lot, and since your site is ranked 9th I don't imagine it gets much traffic from that keyword phrase.

Also, as Alan stated, I can help you value it or sell it. Just let me know if you want some help.
