I use socialmarker.com and post blog posts and website pages to the dofollow sites. For automatic submissions... if you have Wordpress, use the OnlyWire social bookmark plugin.

I don't think there is any secret to social bookmarking other than driving traffic to your blog, quick index of your blog, to get back links and build relationship with your prospects.

you can get some back links and some traffic too..if your post gets top in DIGG or other social bookmarking site you will receive visitors in huge amounts by which your hosting server may overload and stop working for some hours...
