Ok, need some help

I paid for some traffic from adminder, they say that they have sent over 700 to my site, my stats show only 13. Honestly I think those are coming from traffic swarm, lol.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Ok, need some help

If we set up your Adminder GV campaign, it is set up with a special offer page that promotes signing up for your newlsletter.

That would not be included in your website stats. Unless you were tracking the URL for the special offer, the only way to see would be new subscribers in your autoresponder menu.

However that would not be exact science because subscribers could be coming from multiple sources...

Re: Ok, need some help

I used Adminder when I first started. I got a few newsletter sign ups but that's about it. I didn't track my traffic coming in then, so I'm not sure if I received the traffic I was supposed to get.

Are you tracking your traffic? What I mean by this is... is there a way for you to track your website referrals? Google Analytics is great for this. They show you what sites are sending you traffic and how many visitors you get from those sites.

Tracking would be the only way to know for sure. Other than that, I guess you'll just have to take their word for it. Also, your web stats from Host4Profit should be able to tell you as well. You can find that in your control panel. Very useful information.

Hope that helps,

Alan

Thank you Patrician and Alan for the info.

And no I haven't gotten any tracking sytem set up yet, it is just the second day with this site. Of course I am pretty moronic about some of this stuff, but I'll get it sooner or later.

PS HOPEFULLY SOONER RATHER THAN LATER

It is definitely a learning experience. I would say since your brand new to this is to learn ways to get free traffic by article marketing, social networking and social bookmarking. There is nothing better than free traffic, and it is a lot more targeted than paid traffic.

I wondwer if we are able to put a tracking link on our special offer page. I'm wondering that while I am also wondering where my special offer page went to. I can't seem to find it?

Stephen,

I don't see why you couldn't. You could always use Google Analytics as well.

If you can't find your special offer page you can copy mine. Just change the getresponse code...

Hi Alan, I tried using my site with your link and it doesn't work so I'll copy yours tomorrow.

Thanks

Hi Stephen,

Just copy over the html code and you'll be good to go. But... make sure to change the getresponse code as well. You don't want to be earning me any sign-ups... unless you want to :)

I would once again like to thank you all for your advice and comments.

I have now set up tracking for my links, we will see how that goes. Hopefully they will be checked soon, I know they work and shouldn't be a problem. The info inthe 30 days was great for setting it up.

Re: Ok, need some help

The special offer that we use for GV is
pluginprofitsite.com/main-####/specialoffer.html

Replace #### with your PIPS ID.

It is not a page on your site - it is a global page on the PIPS server. You would just need to host the code yourself and make it a page on your site if you were going to track it that way.

If you were adding an Adminder tracking link you would not add it to the page, but to the URL itself.

Hi Pat,

That's what I did. I made it an actual page on my site. For SEO and tracking purposes.

The 30 Day Guide is a great tool and loaded with very good information. You don't have to buy everything that is suggested, especially if you are on a budget. It is good that you're tracking your links now. That is something I wish I did when I first started out. Better late than never I guess. :)

Re: Ok, need some help

Alan,

Again thanks for your input,in fact, I thank each and every one of you for your input.

It'my 3rd day with PIPS, I felt the GV's were at a good price, and may help give a little boost. I am trying to get used to things (PIPS), the good news is I have a list of 1 in my auto-responder at this point. My tracking seems to be working well, and I have adjusted the times in the auto responder a little. I don't want them to forget me,but, I don't want to be too pushy.

I probably won't buy anymore traffic for a while, I will soon have to upgrade auto responder tho, so I am picking and choosing my spending, doing as much free as I can. In 3 days with this program I'm several months ahead of a program I spent thousands on, so I beleive I'll be around for a while.

Again,

Thank you all for your input, and if you have more, please feel free to lay it out.

You are well on your way. The saying goes... find a couple of things you are good at, and do them well. As I'm typing this, I'm listening to Stomping The Search Engines 1 created by StomperNet. I don't know if you have seen any of their products, but it doesn't matter, really.

The point here is that they focus on search engine optimization and search engine marketing. Master those things to get free traffic, and that will almost ensure your success. There is nothing better than free traffic, of course, paid traffic can be very effective as well.

For being only your third day into it, you are well ahead, indeed.

Take Care,

Alan
