The one month hosting for one penny should be activated using the coupon code. I'm not sure if that's the same as we're promoting, but that one seems to work for most people and is what I used when I signed up.

So far, my experience with hostgator says they suck.

Everything is convoluted.

Every sub resource is on a subdomain.

Their is no direct link from your account to log in to your cp.

And lot more..

I'm probably gonna cancel cause the plug in profit site is not what I thought so I don't need hostgator anymore.

Yes, they don't have direct link for cpanel or biling but it may be for secure purpose?

I still feel it's okay, but I do have bad experience when I first moved to hostgator as they messed up my home page.

I had a problem in blogging, sending my post to FTP and the online doesn't seem to help me at all. So, I had to resolve it myself.

So far, I do like cpanel as the icon is nice and colorful.

Just contact their support, there is an activation charge of $10 I think.

HostGator is top notch, in my opinion. Their Support is superb; a rarity these days. Their hosting is one of the best around and used by many, many people. Site up-time is phenomenal - I have yet to find a time that my site was down, and I've been with them for a year and a half now. I couldn't be happier.

So you're just giving up? Really? I don't understand why you wouldn't want to take a few minutes to take a quick picture and send them what they need in order to get your account ready to go.

When success is about to be achieved, obstacles come along the way to discourage one from achieving such objectives. Sometimes it targets our most pronounced weaknesses which may be ego, pride etc all in a bid to achieve its own negative objective.

Learn to shove it aside and think of it, the humiliation you feel will only last a few minutes?, hours?, days? and after that success comes and lasts forever.

Come to think of it, we also don't know what Hostgator goes through in the hands of various fraudsters that would have necessitated such actions from their end.

I felt the same way when i was asked to present one thing or the other by hostgator on trying to sign up but i maintained my cool, quickly shoved it aside and do i even recollect what i went through then any longer?
