I have just been checking my stats in the pips back office and for the very first time since joining PIPS, I have seen a DROP in visitors ![]() I am assuming this to be largely due to the world economy but I can't ignore the downturn and must now look at more ways to generate traffic. I must also take this as a warning, that I can't afford to sit back and expect traffic to magically appear if I don't work at it constantly. I have been very busy in my day job recently and have somewhat ignored my normal routine in my PIPS business. Is anyone else seeing similar results? or is it just me? graham |

Hi Graham, My stats have slowly built through september but thats mainly from increased search engine traffic, although this last google update my serps took a bit of a knock. To be honest the only decent traffic i have been receiving is from google, my article marketing campaign seems to only create backlinks mmmm Jason |

My stats have teetered up and down a little but pretty much stable. My income has had a slight growth. So I would say it was pretty good for bad weather times and make believe economic concerns.

Hi Graham, I have seen a bit of a dip in visitors in July and August but starting to recover now. I suppose it is easy to blame the present financial situation for all this and I am sure it is a factor as the money is not around at the moment, certainly in the UK. I have used the quiet time to try and streamline what I am doing and write more articles, explore other avenues and generally work hard to get thru it but like you I am not in a position to give up my day job so I am just being positive and hoping my extra work will pay off. regards, Mal. |

Hi Graham, I have had an increase in visitors in September. I put that down to trying to put consistent effort into my business. I was out of action for a week early in the month and my numbers were down, but they have recovered well since then. Your headline "worst ever month" seems a bit of an exageration, your numbers were down slightly on the month before but still well above where you were a few months ago. ![]() So for a better October let's all try and stay focused on what is needed to build a bigger business. Here's a tip to get more traffic and better PR. Do a search for WP tags. Look at some of the blogs that come up and check their PR. If it is high, leave a comment. It doesn't have to be in the same niche. Just make sure to leave relevant and thoughtful posts that the owner will appreciate. Your PR will skyrocket with enough backlinks. Their PR is passed onto you through your backlink. Cool huh? That's a simple and quick way to do it. That's why we encourage commenting so much. It actually pays off! Cheers, Alan | |
