Why do you want to sell something you've
put so much work into?

You might want to think about it, your business
is close to building momentum!

Just my 2 cents,

Yes, if nothing else the longer you keep it and the more you build traffic and backlinks the more it will be worth when/if you sell it.

With more effort and time you might even make a lot of money with it from PIPS. You know lots of people do if they focus on it and don't get distracted by other things too soon.

I agree that continuing to build it would be your best option. But if know you aren't going to spend the necessary time to keep it moving forward then selling is a good idea. It's a lot better than just letting it slowly die or not renewing it. At least you'll get something out of it.

Hi Mohd Beshr, my advise will be to continue building it, don't give up!

I went to your website and noticed that you do have peel service but it isn't showing up on every page, perhaps you want to add the script code on those pages, some pages such as Contact Me doesn't have links to go back to the navigation menu, etc.

Perhaps, you will need to organize it

I can see you really build and put in a LOT of hardwork as you created lots of pages and post. Don't put your effort into the drain, don't...

I know you are fed up with your website, not earning revenue or to cover your overhead cost, etc. I also realized you didn't join most of the affiliate programs offered.

If there is a WILL, there is always a WAY!

Cheers,
Erica

Don't give up - you never know if you keep up the hard work when you will turn the corner and see results -

Remember you are competing with a millions of other sites and you have to keep up building back links to stay ahead.

I hate to see you waste your hard work, time and money by quitting.

They don't seem to come to the forum, but lots of people are making money. I see their names on applications all the time. Every day we get lots of new orders and those could be yours if you just don't quit.

Hi Mohd, you do get visitors to your website and they do click on google adsense and buy something, that's why you earn some money from google adsense. That's great and keep it up, you have the traffic!

I went to your PIP sales page that is under you, I think that visitors do click and signup on PIP sales page or other banners but the commission go to other people's pocket as you are not the affiliates. Maybe you would like to update your member account status in PIP.

There may be a number of reasons who would want to sell your site. Even people with successful sites will sell them for a price. While it was true that I didnt see much income with 2700 links as you have. I have learned that mathematically you can calculate the amount of traffic you get not versus the amount you make monthly, then you could find out what it costs to get the traffic that will give you the paycheck you want. Whether it be through google adsense, PIPS, clickbank products or whatever affiliate program you like.

Also, how much were you planning on selling it for? You can PM me about it if you prefer.

Excellent advice. You may aswell stick with the site. Read up on these forums about getting more traffic and increasing your conversions.

After all, that's all the person who buys your site will do.

Yes, it's definitely a good idea. Building backlinks will help increase the website's ranking in search engines. This will help drive more and more traffic to your site, and even though it's not being updated, that traffic will still view your existing posts, etc.

In this way you may be able to squeeze some income out of it before selling, thus allowing you to up the sale price.

I agree. I had once considered selling my site, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I focused on learning new techniques to drive more traffic to my site... and ultimately sales. It's all worth it in the end to stay committed and not give up.

I just visited your site. I can see you have invested a great amount of time and money on your site. I also hate to see you sell your site. But if you have made up your mind about selling your site, then good for you.

What is the asking price for your site? I'm sure there is someone here that can help you out.

Again, I wouldn't give up on this site. You are getting the traffic, you just need to get the conversions.

The only thing that I see, that hasn't really been addressed yet, is to maybe change the types of ads you have in AdSense sections. You may be getting a little money from them. But they compete with what you are trying to sell. Maybe something related to Internet Marketing, like web page design, advertising, or consulting. That way they are not using your site to go to a competitor's site.

Good Luck....

If you are making money with it, keep it. It is only costing you a hosting fee, right? Then just duplicate it again. I heard about a guy who had 300 sites all making him $10 a month. That is $3,000 a month - or something to that effect.

Can you take what you have already done, simplify it and duplicate it? You have already done it once. Now just take the things that worked - not all the experiments - and use those to build more sites.

I host with hostgator (Not affiliated. I just really like them.) and you can have as many sites as you want for one fee. That is how I save money on my hosting.

Another option is, if you are getting traffic, why not set up a deal with other warriors to advertise on your site. If you have a good rank and traffic, you should be able to monetize that. I would be interested if the price is right. I need "work at home" telemarketers. Your site is the perfect site to put my "help wanted" ad on.

Re: i want to sell my website
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I dropped by your site and had a few thoughts. I think it is a great idea that you shouldn't drop it. With a few changes, it can make you money.

The site needs to be more simple. On the pages where there is too many choices (home page), separate that into several pages. Too many choices leads to no decision.

Don't make the adsense look like advertising. It is in a colored box, yelling "Don't look at me!" Instead, put the links in with the text or over with the navigation like you have done on some of the pages. Hide it in plain site.

In your body copy, add one more "return" to add more white space between your paragraphs. It makes it more reader friendly and easier to read.

I think the site needs to be a little more friendly. Turn it into a review site. All the programs you pitch, it looks like you are trying to sell, sell, sell.

Instead, be the visitor's advocate. Help them. Not by just sharing a squeeze page or sales page for everything, but by writing more information in the form of a review. You say everything goes through an approval process. Well, tell them what you have found out about the program.

The site needs more of you in it. Maybe have a little animated head created and put it next to a comment about the product. So, picture of the product, description of the product, then your cartoon face and then a quote from you that says " Mohamed says..."

Please put navigation on every page. If I wasn't trying to help you out, I would have left the site a long time ago. I don't like dead ends. I like to be able to navigate from every page.

What I was saying about adding warrior pages:

Ask if warriors would be interested in advertising/contributing content to your site. You could charge an up front fee or set up an affiliate relationship, where if they sell something, you get a commission.

How much traffic do you get? How big is your list? That will determine how much you can charge. PR2 isn't awesome, but it IS a start. People might pay to have a page on a PR2 site for the backlink.

You could have warriors write their own page in html. All you have to do is copy and paste it into your template to create a page for them and add it to your navigation. I would suggest they write on their subject and link it to working at home, concept-wise.

For example, if someone has a work at home product, they can write up a page about it, include video if they want, share great information and then say, if you want more information, visit xyz.com and point people to their site.

This would work for both robots and human visitors. I would make it cheap and go for volume. $5 to 10 every month or $27 for 3 months isn't going to break someone's bank if they get traffic from it.

And only 10 people would make $50 to $100 each month. $27 x 4 quarters/year x 10 people is $1080/year. That isn't going to make you rich, but then you can't say you didn't make money from the site anymore, can you?

I would make some of the changes I mentioned earlier to make your site more friendly. then people will more likely want to be a part of it. They will also need a primo spot in your navigation (which will be on every page, right? ;-)

For payment, I would just set up a PayPal subscription on an "advertise with us" page. PayPal will take care of the rest, and will send them, after they pay, to a page with directions on how to get the information to you.

Wishing you the best

MBeshr:
I actually don't dislike those yellow boxes with ads in it . They are quite gentle to the eye and show a great deal of consideration for what you are trying to sell there, even if it is not your site stricltly speaking, and the colur scheme blends well within the page.

I don't think you should sell it either, I think you should consider completely changing it. In my opinion your site isn't making money because it has no curb appeal. Of course you are only making money via adsense, its right on top of your content in your visitors face. If Adsense was your intent for this site then you succeeded but you if you want me, or another visitor, to go anywhere else you need to clean it up

Just my two cents

I think you made a great decision, you won't regret it, remember if it was easy everyone would be doing it. It takes a great deal of patience to truely make money on the internet. Use this site as your testing ground, learn what works learn what doesn't and implement.
