Hello everyone,

There must be 4 or 5 threads going on in the PIPS Forum all referring to Blogger.com, blogs on your sites, turning your sites into a blog, making your blog look like your PIPS sites and questions on SEO and so much more.

I hear you, and believe me, I know exactly what is going through many of your minds. After all, a blog to me almost 5 years ago was totally foreign and totally mystifying.

With all of these questions, why not try and provide information on what YOU believe would be the perfect blog for you.

This isn't a "Question" thread that I want to get going, this is a "Tell Everyone What YOU Want In Blog" thread.

Seriously, everyone knows about blogs, most marketers have at least one blog, may many more.

If you could "design" your own blog and have everything you wanted all in ONE PLACE, what would your blog look like? I don't mean, It would be azure turquise with daisys in the header... Ü

I mean what design features, what plugins would you like to see, how would you monetize it, and anything else that tickles your fancy.

Remember, this is YOUR blog, make it anyway you want. I'll be back in a few days with MY idea of what a good blog entails.

Let's see if we can rock the PIPS Forum and "Design" the perfect Blog.

I'm really shocked that after all the various threads discussing blogs and such that no PIPS members have taken the time to explain what would make a perfect or as close to perfect blog in their opinion.

This has been read by at least 25 people, and yet, nobody had any ideas or suggestions. Hmmmmm.

Can it be that you are satisfied with Bloggeer.com? Oooops, yeah, I forgot, they have taken away your FTP so you can only make new blogs with them.

Or, are you happy putting up a basic WordPress blog on your existing site as a folder or even as a sub-domain using standard themes that everyone else is using?

Oh yeah, some of you have stated in other posts you aren't sure how to set it up. Or you aren't sure what to do to make it look like your existing site without having to spend a fortune.

As for me:

• I want a WPBlog that doesn't have to use Fantastico because of all the additonal coding it inserts into my blogs.
• I want a blog that can be uploaded and set up in a matter of minutes once the MYSQL database is built.
• I want a blog that will allow me to advertise my products and services as well as all my affiliate links and set up each link automatically when I configure my site.
• I want a blog that I can change the design, the content, and the color (to almost any color I want) in under 5 minutes.

I want.... well, that's just a FEW of the things I want.

What would you like YOUR blog to do for you to make you money? What do you want in a blog that makes your life easier, takes less time, is more search engine friendly, and who knows what else.

Just at a glance Allen, I would say with all the new widgets and plugins on Wordpress that most of this can be accomplished with drag and drop.

Now I have a few WP blogs that were done in the old style php and when they upgraded to all the widgets etc., it really messed my sites up. So that can work either way...

Bottom line is they still have to install the program on their domain whether they use a subdomain and or a domain - they will have the SQL dbase, etc - but now they don't have to mess with all the various sidebar files, etc. to make changes.

I am sure if I looked more in depth at what you are proposing that there are things provided beyond what WP already provides.

On the run - what am I doing here it is my day 'off'...

Actually, I'm not proposing anything. I'm just curious what PIPS members are wanting in a blog that they either don't have or can't figure out how to make work properly.

OK - sorry Allen - I should have read both posts - so you are saying what your would PREFER not what you propose, and then to that I say that I think you will find a lot of the stuff you WANT - the newer versions of WP really are feature rich and easy to use.

I'm not qualified to answer this question. But, it is a great idea. I just had Darrin install a WP Blog to my site, so I'm still feeling my way around it. I've never used WP before. So, I'm not sure if I want to use any add-ons or plug-ins yet.

Easier is always better. I do like the features of WP that I have used. It's a lot better than what Blogger has.

I want a blog that can not be spammed, i having lot of spamming on my wp blog. I do not know what to do to stop it. So i want a blog which is difficult to spam.

There are many plugins that work well with wordpress to eliminate SPAM. You might want to go here and check out this plug in. This could very well do what you want or need it to do for your blog.
