Hosting Question?
Share on:

I know at this point in the game I should know the answer to this question but honestly I do not. The question is if both Host4Profit and HostGator show unlimited autoresponders as a benefit to hosting with them why then do we use outside autoresponders? I mean we use getresponce, e-mailaces, aweber and the like at an additional cost. Why?

Does the benefit at the hosting companies say unlimited autoresponders but they really have none and what it should say is we will host unlimited autoresponders from where ever you get them. If this is the case then it is really unfair that they list them under e-mail benefit services when in fact you need to pay for that service else where then host it with your site. Confusing at best, at least to me.

Regards,
Roy

You do get unlimited autoresponders with many hosts. However, the reason most people use outside services such as aweber or getresponse is because they are a heck of a lot better in many ways. There are numerous options/functions offered by these other services that make them almost mandatory to use compared to what a typical webhost offers.

Thanks Trent,

Not that I am a newbie based on the number of years I have been around but for those that are and those strapped for cash at their start-up would these autoresponders be good enough to be used by those newbies while they get their feet wet and start to build a list which they could move to a better service later on? Just a thought!

Again Thanks
Regards,
Roy

I've honestly never used one of them so I couldn't say for sure. I've always had aweber. But I have seen them being used by internet marketers before and that is what they are for so I assume they could be used if needed.
