Hi, I am giving thought to using PPC to get signups. I use to use Google, MSN, and Yahoo to get free signups for a travel business. I stopped for a bunch of reasons. One of them was because of conversions rates and cold calling. It seemed odd that someone would sign up on a long form to get more information and when I called them they got mad. I'm bad because some would get real obnoxious and I would just hang up. But, I am thinking about using PPC to get signups to a couple programs. Before they signed up to an autoresponder but now I want to put them directly into the programs. The one I am going to concentrate on is up top and in the middle of my site but I want to use a capture page I do know how to use Adwords to save money but I am wondering what kind of success others have had getting people to sign right into a program from a capture page? Let me know if it has worked for you in getting people to sign up for PIPs. I'm looking for information on what may work so let me know. Steve |

Stephen, I will be getting to that in my blog but for now. Use long tail keywords, I spend about $2 to $3 a month in log tail keywords promoting. Get someone who knows nothing about the internet marketing. Ask them what they would search for if they were looking for a home based business. I average about 1 signup every other month from a modest budget. I am not going to spend $10 a pop without a guarantee of a sign up. I average about 30 hits per month and alot of impressions. In my personal opinion it is worth it for what you spend for the extra advertising. Keep your limit to $1 per day just in case someone spams you ! I learned a big lesson. Jeff |

I received over 50 SU prospects recently using PPC, at this stage only 1 has shown any real interest in enrolling. I guess it's hit and miss but if you can target the right key words, i say give it a go.

Steve - you are a clever guy, so I think that if you do your homework properly - you'll be ok. set your budget and target your keywords effectively. I would do all due dilligance on your niche and go for the best keywords you can find. I dont know that paying the minimum is always the right way to go. Use google and do some split testing once you have set your words and setup a couple of ad options. Testing, testing, testing! Good Luck! Kym |
