I noticed the other day that several of the banners that are showing on my site are not mine. There are two that promote a video game site or some kind of survey site. I even deleted my banner and put in a completly different one and sure enough it changed. What makes it all the more confusing is that sometimes the correct banner will appear and then on the next visit it changes. Any ideas on how I can fix this ? Thanks |

Hi, Are you sure your webepanel is not being infiltrated? I would advise you immediately change your password, make necessary corrections and then watch if this happens again. |

Your banners are most likely linked to a picture on another server as well as you affiliate links. It probably is not your site that is having the problem. It is most likely the site where you got the banners that are changing. If you notice a pattern such as banners from one particular affiliate site changing notify them of what is happening. Other than that make sure you change your site log in details. Steve |

I think Steve could be right in that I recollect that Empowerism for example says not to have your affiliate banners hosted from their server but to transfer same to your hosting as a way to conserve bandwith. Empowerism further says they will switch location of banners on their server as a deterrent to those who fail to comply. |

Thanks for the information- I changed my password and also the banners. I used two different banners from different merchants (MoreNiche and Maximum Paid Surveys) they still switched. I did notice that if I use Fire Fox everything seems to be OK but when I use IE thats when I have the problem. Thanks John |

Hi John, To stop this from happening save the banner on your computer and upload it to your website, this way you make sure that the picture you want it there for ever, even if the company changes their banners. Tanny |

This can also happen if you are using the wrong affiliate ID. Programs like Empowerism will rotate to different IDs rather than give an error message when an ID is invalid. It is very strange though... |

Is it possible just to download the picture from Empowerism, then upload the pic yourself to your own hosting account. Change the affiliate link yourself through a HTML viewer like NVU or something like that. Hope this helps. JTYS |

As far as getting your Empowerism ID back... just do what JTYS suggested. Alan | |
