The power of feeds
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hello,

I wanted to make this a new thread instead of posting in the blog contest. I wanted all the new pips members to see the power of what blogging can do when you submit your feeds to the feed engines.

In the below example my feedage comment feed is on the third page of google with the keyword "Best Home Based business"

Just type best home based business in google and you will see it on the 3rd page.

Comments for Best Home Based Business Feedage.com
Oct 10, 2008 ... Comment on Submitting articles for your best home based business by Leon Bowes ... Comment on Promoting my best home based business by Kha ...

I just wanted to emphasize the importance of submitting your feeds and what they can do for your site.

I am not bragging because it was nothing that I did. I used wordpress , used the basic plugins and started posting on other blogs.

The feed came from comments by pipsters in the blog contest.

Just pick your keywords carefully and get those articles fed , they are very hungry.

If your not in the contest, I would suggest that you get in now. You owe it to yourself

Jeff

Graham,

Web feeds are basically content that is pulled from your site and formatted so others can use it on there sites.'

If you look at my site , you will see a orange button at the top in the address bar...if you click on it.....it will bring up the link for my feed that I would I would submit to feed engines.

A feed engine would be RSS feed Directory - Feedage.com they are essentially a directory for feeds.

They publish feeds which get indexed in google pretty fast. There are many other feed services.

So, If I publish my feed and give it a title with my keywords " best home based business " then it stands a chance of ranking high in google. Why, because feedage has a high pr.

Thats about all there is to it. If your getting rss feeds on your sites, that means someone has submitted there feed to one of these directories or you have subscibed to there feed from there website.

Placing your feed in these directories is a good way to get free high pr backlinks.

Thanks for the info Jeff. However, I just tried loading on my blog and it somehow screwed the blog up - ie loaded html for buttons- blog would not then show any posts!....just blank pages.....so I guess I will have to play around a bit.

Thanks again for the info
