What a Stupid I am!
Share on:

Hi everybody

I am new and I made a stupid mistake. On 6/16 I submitted an Article titled: "Online Home Business: Is It Right for Me?" and submitted to EzineArticles. They approved it and immediately gave me an Expert writer Status. When I searched google typing the exact words I saw it at first page at number 3 position.

I was overwhelmed. Came back to my EzineArticle account and stupidly pressed edit button. I don't know what happened. I didn't edit a thing. But I checked google. Number 3 position is still there but after clicking, it is showing that url has been mooved. Then I checked EzineArticle account again. It was showing "problem: not live".

So I re-submitted it and explained it to support desk.

What I have done wrong?
Is it possible to regain the google position after resubmitting?

Hi,
You are not stupid, we are humans, and sometimes our fingers have their own lives.
I don't know what happened but if you press the wrong button and don't click OK/submit/etc, and click back or just close the window, it will not save the changes you made.

Now that you submitted the article again, I guess you will keep your SE ranking until something better will come along.

You are not alone, I did the same thing. In my case EzineArticles actually rejected my resubmitted article, even though nothing was changed. It took a few days of writing back and forth to get it resolved. Hopefully that won't happen to you. Just goes to show that we all make mistakes, even EZA.

I think maybe they assumed you had edited your article, and had to go through the submission process again. Sometimes it takes a couple days for an article to be approved (or re-approved).

Lesson learned

I have done that at Ezine and it sucks because you have to wait for the article to be reviewed again and pray you don't get a picky reviewer. I had an article sitting in the modified section for a week before I realized it lol

Thanks Tanny
When the incident happened, my 3 year daughter was pulling my shirt trying to get my attention, I was not sure what I did in hurry. You know how it is!
But the good news is it took 5/6 hours only to straighten the things after I hit re-submit button. Lucky I am!!!
