my site is 1 month old and it needs help...
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I shouldn't been so worried for this but I didn't see any improvement day by day and weeks by weeks.

I had been with PIPS for one month, my site is in mess and no visitors at all although I subscribed to and build backlinks, submitted some articles online, update my blog everyday or 2 days interval.

I inserted google verification's meta tag but it seems to have many crawl errors as I had created and rename links. I inserted the meta tag in my homepage but it doesn't show up under page source? Why?

Go ahead............

You're in right way,

As I feel, you've to work more........

Perhaps, it'll take little time.

And,

I know, you need instant visitors....

This was the method what I was done at me beginning.

I made a viral report with putting links to my site and published it via free classified ad sites and forums.

Hi,

Don't be downhearted, it is still early days. Keep doing what you are doing and keep building those backlinks.

If you want to know how you are doing you can type in your URL on something like the free service at SEOCentro . com which gives you your current number of backlinks plus a lot more info and you can type in the URL of a couple of your competitors to see what sort of target you have to aim at.

regards,

Mal.

One month is nothing. It takes many months to get the groundwork laid for a successful online business website. Keep at it and you will start seeing results. After a while things will multiply and everything will start to come much easier and faster.

I agree with all the comments saying keep at it...thats what I am trying to do.

I my self am suffering from a slight lack of motivation, i am getting visitors, and have some backlinks in place, but i have now just hit a blank, i just dont know where to go from now, i keep thinking about writting an article, but even with all the advice and tips i have seen on writting one, i still have no inspiration for it.

I am having a massive down moment. dont know where to turn!!!!

Hiya Talifghel.
i have tried sending pm's, however the forum wont allow it until i have 50 posts up here.
But your help would be very good and appreciated.

i did decide to write my first article yesterday, and it is coming on alright, just need to finish it off and tidy it up a bit now, which is what I am spending my day off my JOB doing.

Mattb31 - Yes, this is what occurred to me, you need at least 50 posts to send PM, quite a funny rule.

This is what I did when I first started PIPS, get education first, finish up my 30 days success guide (important). Then now, I am more or less know what correct strategy to take and where to go, I am now focusing on building traffic on my site like building backlinks.

Thanks BT.
strange rule indeed, but i guess it is to make sure the person is not just here to gain knowledge and contacts then leave, who knows?

Your advice is good and I will do so. I think the problem hit when I knew I had to write an article or original blog post, i just couldnt get a clue where to start, but then walking to work i had a brain storm, so i bought a pad of papper and pen, sat down at work and put some ideas together, i am now working on my first article, it may not be much seeing as it is a first, but it's a start and we all have to start somewhere, the main thing is, it will be original and from myself, so i can brand it and place links to my site etc....

I did have a moment of depression, but i shrugged it off and pulled myself out of it, to come back more ready then ever to attack this thing. That is good advice for anyone who has moments, sit back, think, then it will become clear what needs to be done, dont give in, but also dont expect massive instant results and you will not be upset if they dont happen right away.

I like this forum, great for picking people up and kicking them in the butt....lol

Matt - Probably the rule is to prevent some people from getting backlinks?

When I first joined, I am more anxious, excited, clueless and almost cried too as I am a student and I had signed up many programs by upgrading membership and ended up ONE BIG HOLE in my pocket, ending up a NEGATIVE bank balance. Apart from school work, I also have this thing to bother. (Actually now it still bothers me)

But you should first go through the guide first and don't do unnecessary upgrades or buy. Check out this forum first.

The 50 post rule has a very good reason. There are creeps who join the forum just for the purpose of sending spam to Warrior Forum members through the Private Message system.

This is a good way to control them because few will last long enough to get a chance to spam people. (they will get banned even before they get a chance to send spam)

This is because as you can imagine spammers and hackers would be such that they will get banned for serial posting one liners and self-promotion in their posts.

I know it is hard for honest people who want to participate in the forum, however as with "real life" the innocent always suffer because of the miscreants.

* serial posting = the same past over and over in different places to increase their post count.

* self promotion = affiliate links and advertising even in a so creatively coy way as to make it sound like they want you to review their site or some other excuse to post their links.

Thats cool.
I did guess that it would be for that reason. I used to work for a fourm or two and know that you can get some real spamming trolls, who care about nothing other than themself and self promotion.

no probs though, i will post quality posts and hopefully contribute something to this site and earn my privaliges.

Thanks for the explanation Pat.

I have just checked my morning stats for the site and after posting my article yesterday and putting a slide show of it up, my visits have doubled over night. No sales, but it's a good start, nice to see results from the work.
I had better start writting more, i went to bed with ideas flowing through my head.

For now, I can see a little bit of visitors coming into my website. But:

1) Did you submit your website to directories?
2) Did you use google webmaster tool? There is a step by step instruction to insert a specific code into your homepage. If you are a PIPS member, it is on PIPS 30 days guide.
3) Build backlinks using easybacklink?

Give something away for free....

Put on Craiglist, Backpage, and a few forums/blogs. If you still get zero visitors, there is something very wrong.

You can also do Adwords....for like a $3.00 a day budget...for a few days....and see if you get clicks.

Erica,

If you have only been at this a month, my hat is off to you:

AllTheWeb: 243
AltaVista: 243
Google/AOL: 3
HotBot/Inktomi: 0
MSN Search: 0
Yahoo: 308

That's a pretty impressive amount of backlinks for 1 month.

Even have 3 in Google.

I did notice a few things.

Your domain name ( you business address) is nowhere in your title, your site description, your keywords or anywhere on your site..

Your description is only keywords all of which are some of the most popular AND HARDEST keywords to get indexed for.

You might want to find out what you have to do to host everything on your domain as the majority of your links and graphics are coming from Stone's server (PlugInProfitSite.com). These would appear as links out by the search engines.

As far as your getting back links, I think you are doing a great job. You may need some more Onsite SEO to help get search engine traffic.

Best of luck.

Yap

It's pretty impressive that Google index your site as 3 after a month.

In order to host all the graphics in your server:

1. Just download or copy all the graphics to your hard drive. All the graphics may be xxx.jpeg format.
2. You may need third party software to change it to xxx.gif file.
3. Upload it to your server.
4. Edit all the graphic's links on your website so that it may all pointed to your server.
5. Done! Now you are hosting all the graphics in your server.

Hi Allen, sorry for the late reply. Yes, my website is setup on 6 or 7/12/2009 (can't remember the exact date).

Sorry, I am still quite new to this terms. How do you check on the amount of backlinks? My google webmaster doesn't show that. What is 3 in Google?

What should I do with my HARDEST KEYWORD to get indexed for?

I had did something to my pointing link which your had mentioned in my website

With regards,
Erica

Hey,

I've been online for about 7 months now. Joined a lot of programs spent a lot of money and now am focusing on PIPS after making a tough decision to let the others go. At first I was a bit down thinking whether all this effort was worth it and feeling bad because of the money but I consider the money spent as tuition fees for what I have learned. It has been a steep learning curve and it will be for you as well...just don't give up, persist and be consistent. 1 article will become 2, then 3 4 and so on. This is a long term strategy and You will succeed. We all have down days...just considering a few years ago I attempted suicide and was at the lowest in my life and now I'm working a business at night while working during the day. Time can be your best friend. Just don't give up. All the best!

Erica,

You have really made some great progress. I can tell you have put quite a few hours in since my last post to you.

When I spoke about your business identify, what I was referring to was your website address.

You choose to use your name, that is going to make it a little harder to get noticed because most people are going to wonder What erica-chan.com has to do with affiliate or internet marketing.

However, that doesn't mean you can't move forward.

Looking at the source code of your website, your name still does not appear. One of the first things you need to have for onsite SEO is the URL of your website should appear in your title, as well as within the desccriptions and the keyword meta tags.

Suggestions:

Title: Making Money Online With Erica Chan (this has the keyword of Erica Chan in it).

Description: Take the first step towards online success with Erica Chan. Let Erica Chan show you how to make money online using our proven business tips and tricks designed for your online money making success.

(See, this isn't just a bunch of keywords stuffed into the description tag).

If the keywords you have are what you want to get indexed for, start your article marketing and blogging to drive traffic to your site using those keywords.

Search for blogs using the keywords you are wanting to drive traffic to your site. Read some posts, leave relevant comments with a link back to your site. Make sure that at least one of your keywords is in the comment (don't stuff keywords).

Again, congrats on your hard work.

I have a feeling if you keep moving forward with the same dedication you have recently shown, you have a very good chance of success online.

Allen

Erica,

You can do a Google search and find a checker by searching for one of these keywords:

Link Popularity
Back Links Checker

Or something like that.

What I do is put this in the google search bar:

links: erica-chan.com or links: www.erica-chan.com

Google will return how many links you have

Don’t give up on what you’re doing! Just because it’s been a month it doesn’t mean it's the end of the game! I really need to keep going and think positive. Try social marketing e.g Twitter and LinkedIn and Facebook. This will just help you to drive traffic to your site and even convert into sales.

I will see myself in your shoes soon...., i hope very very soon. I was advised to persevere if i want to succeed and i think it requires courage too! Don't be dishearten bt, its a jungle out there, 1 month is still too short a time to tell. You can use social networking platform to expedite and assist...(facebook, twitter, Myspace, Friendster etc). Please do tell ME/us your 1st time experiences in this jungle. I'm all ears. Bt, i salute you..! Just hang in there.., patience and perseverance helps and goes a long long way. (better said than done..)

well I have to agree, sticking at it is the best thing anyone can do, as I have been doing so for the last couple of months, even with the low days and now I have started seeing a few subscribers coming in, and that has given me a boost, also it has shown that the efforts work. i am going to release my second article very soon and see what that does for me.

So to all in here, please keep pushing on and making an effort, you WILL see an improvement soon!

Hi whossh - I was lost in the big www jungle at first, cried and almost feel like quitting it but after I finished up my 30 days success training, I realized what is Internet Marketing and began to take the routine steps in the training guide.

I think it's the best to finish up reading the training guide as I find the training guide is my compass and my routine to-do-list is my route map

I noticed that you haven't create a forum signature. It is advisable to create a forum signature as it will boost your backlinks.

I wanted to post another message to incourage people to stick with the program, as I am now starting to see results, not in the money sense, but in the respespect that people are subscribing and i am moving up the google pages. It is true what others say, once you see results, no matter how minor they may be, it will and does make you want to do it more, it's like an addiction, or a game as such, you want to try and get to that next level. how does the saying go?

"from small acorns, grow mighty oaks"

plant the acorns and see the oak start to grow.

If anyone is struggling, or a bit down with it, give me a shout and I will help you. Even if it is just a pep talk to give you the boost you need, I am always open to sharing my experience to help others feel the excitment I am now.
