The dog? has strayed out
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Been a little quiet in this forum of recent.

As Patrician said sometime ago, the dog? has strayed out (to main internet marketing forum) but forgotten to come back home.

Finally found the way back home to say hi.

But the goodies outside (main internet marketing forum) are "pulling" and the dog? will still go out and return intermittently.

Regards

I still stop by here every day but as you said it's been quiet so there's rarely any questions to reply to.

You can find internet marketing strategies, SEO consulting, and tons of business advice at BAM!

Hi Trent,

Nice to know that you (one of the veterans) still stop by often.

My hesitation in posting some questions here but rather on the main marketing forum arises from the thought that it may take quite sometime before i get answers unlike in the main marketing forum.

Will patronise this forum often then.

I try to pop in at least once a day as well. But as mentioned, there are rarely new questions being asked. Of course, it is summer.

BTW, it's Trent's Birthday today!

I too come in every day, usually in the morning before I get ready for my JOB and then around 11pm PST when i get home from my JOB.

Many times when I drop in there are only 4 or 5 people viewing, and the questions are few and far between.

However, it's nice to drop by and read some of the responses made to the existing questions.

May be slow right now, but, it's still a great forum for those that want to take the time to get answers.

A LOT of questions can be answered by reading existing posts. Maybe that is what is happening.

Hi Allen,

What a surprise! You are also still around.

It means quite a lot of veterans are probably still lurking around. I am pleased to know this as this is a great forum and the origin of many successful internet marketers.

Hi,

I also call in every day or least every other day as I like to touch base and read the posts even when I have nothing to contribute.

As Alan has pointed out, it is summer so most forums tend to be a little quieter,

regards,

Mal.

Hi Malcolm,

Nice to know you are also still around.

Obviously the "gurus" are still very much around and i am glad about that. Very meaningful exchange of ideas can still take place.

Thank you all for coming to the PIPS mausoleum. I too am here off and on everyday - I don't always post because I feel that others should be participating and they may not if I do.

I appreciate your faithfulness in coming back here in your busy daze.

Although people who have ripped this program off for ideas and even the membership have not harmed the program itself I feel they have done harm to this forum -

On the other hand I believe Stone is not pushing for people to come here anymore like he used to because why hit them in the face with the whiners and detractors right off the dime.

I am sure when I rant at these same types, that even kills more participation - so I am making better use of the delete mechanisms of a moderator when the kill boys come. Sometimes the less said the better, eh?

Only the shadow knows.

Hi Patrician,

Always comforting to know you are around.

Without singing your praise, i cannot but marvel at what a wonderful resource PIPS and this forum have in you. This is not even talking of your dedication and efficiency.

Obviously, the strayed dog must always find its way back home.

Although people who have ripped this program off for ideas and even the membership
I think I know who you are referring to in this sentence and my honest opinion is that they have come out with a very good program. Yes, it is somewhat of a PIPS clone and there's no doubt they got many of the ideas from PIPS. They are taking a lot of people who were or might have become PIPS members otherwise.

However, that should be incentive for Stone to step back, take a good look at PIPS, and see what he can do to make it even better so nobody else can compete against it. Overall PIPS has not really changed much in all these years so maybe it's time to revamp it and bring it up with the times.

I love PIPS and always will. But I do think there are several changes that need to be made to bring it up to date. Stone has plenty of money, business savvy, internet marketing knowledge, and high profile friends at his disposal. He could really take PIPS to the next level if he wanted to.

I was actually referring to 3 different 'corporate raids' we have had just in my time, Trent. Actually the most recent one is small potatoes. The least significant of the 3.

Two of them should have and could have been a compliment and worked in tandem with PIPS. It is a shame that it is otherwise.

I don't think anything is perfect and of course I can always think of ways things could be better too. I guess if I cared that much I would get my own program and my own forum

However, The topic of this thread as far as I am concerned is the forum, not the program -

The level of participation is well let's just say - let's all have a moment of silence in remembrance of what it used to be = WAR!

hahaha -- at least it is quiet if anyone wants to meditate.

Why is it that all the activity has died off in this section? Do you know Pat? I don't really see why that would have happened. My only guess is because all the "power group" mentors were banned, all of which were very active. But still that's only a handful of people compared to all the total members.

Trent the biggest loss of participation in the forum was years ago - maybe 3+ -with another situation where a program started as an 'off-shoot' to 'help' PIPS and ended up eventually emptying out to their own forum. It has never been the same since then.

Nothing to do with PPG - but then yes we lost a few more people in the forum due to the situation there. A couple of the best unfortunately - too bad.

I guess I didn't realize that it happened so long ago. I had always thought this forum was pretty active until about the past year or so. I was here 4 years ago but I must have forgotten how active it was back then. I can't even think of what the program is that you are referring to. I have a guess but not sure.
