Hi all, I tried using Google Adwords for our main sales page: http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-29571 However, it comes back giving me the following warning two days later. Anyone has this encounter before? Or anyone else can advise me how to comply with their policies? What are the best PIPS landing page to use in Adwords? Thanks. Code: Subject: Final Warning: Your Google AdWords account has multiple violations Dear advertiser, We are writing to let you know that your Google AdWords account is at risk of being suspended due to multiple violations related to our Advertising Policies, including the Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines. Below is a list of example display URLs of the sites in violation of these policies. Please check the existing ads in your account to ensure that they comply with these policies. Please be aware that this is your final warning, and any additional violations of our Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines will lead to immediate account suspension. Customer ID: xxx-xxx-xxx As part of our commitment to making the AdWords experience safe and effective for our users and our advertisers, we routinely review the landing pages that our advertisers promote through our search and content networks. If we find that an advertiser has submitted poor quality landing pages that do not comply with our Advertising Policies, including the Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines, we reserve the right to take account-level action. Landing pages advertised via AdWords must have relevant, original content, and must be transparent about the nature of the business being promoted. Further, advertisers are prohibited from promoting certain types of sites, which include, but are not limited to: * Data collection sites that imply delivery of free items, etc., in order to collect private information * Arbitrage sites without relevant and original content that are designed for the purpose of showing ads * Affiliate sites without relevant and original content that are designed to drive traffic to another site with a different domain * "Get-rich quick" sites that make unrealistic promises * Sites that are deceptive * Sites that distribute malware or spyware * Extremely misleading/unverifiable or inaccurate claims Please note that this action is related to sites that have recently been advertised through your account. In a review of your account history, we found that your account had submitted multiple sites that merited poor landing page quality evaluations. Advertisers that have a history of promoting poor quality landing pages are subject to account-level disabling. Pausing or deleting an ad or ad group that advertises a site will not affect or improve the site's landing page quality. The only way to improve poor landing page quality is to correct the site according to our Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines; after you have done this, please contact Google AdWords support by replying to this email so that we can re-evaluate your site's landing page quality. Once a site's landing page quality has markedly improved based on these guidelines, ads associated with the site should also see an improvement in Quality Score as it relates to landing page quality. Hi Charles, First of all, i advise you to be very careful following that last warning as the next action will be banning you from the adwords programme. Perhaps it would have been more acceptable to google if you had used the sales page url of your domain i.e. => Plug-In Profit Site => Plug-In Profit Site - Complete Money Making Site Setup FREE! That would have satisfied google rule of avoiding copyright violation but would not satisfy the rule as to original content on landing pages. Note that there is also another rule as to "get-rich-quick" sites which sometimes PIPS is most erroneously classified under. The best option therefore which i have always found acceptable to google is creating a short landing page on my website, with links inserted to direct visitors to my sales page. e.g. => Starting Own Business |

First of all, I will second Dele's suggestion of advertising from YOUR URL, not from Stone's. That's your first mistake. The second problem is not having "unique content" in which they specified in the letter you have above. The sales page isn't even close to being unique, nor is the home page. Those are the main things I see right off the bat. Here is what I recommend. Install a Wordpress blog on your site (I can help with this if need be), and write a review of PIPS, and then create a campaign that drives traffic to the review on your blog. This will ensure that the "landing page" is unique and that it's on your OWN domain. Hope that helps. |

Note that Alan's suggestion is another good variation. The only drawback to that in my view is that it depends on the keywords you have set up a campaign for. A review may not always be highly targeted for all keywords which may mean a loss of visitors who do not have the patience to sieve out relevant content from the review. On the other hand, a short landing page specifically created with the keyword you set up a campaign for in mind, will be highly targeted and from there, you can then lure the visitor to the review or main sales page. The implication is that one can design as many landing pages as desired to "fit" the targeted keywords.

I am not talking of the mode i.e splash/landing page or blog post. What i am saying is that the likely content of a long unwinding review may not be as targeted depending on the keywords, as any of : short targeted blog post or splash/landing page. Meanwhile, i think this should be the other way round as your objective should be to write a blog post around your campaign keywords and not vice versa. The blog post should only be a means to an end (targeting specific keywords) and not an end in itself. Note that your campaign keywords should have been thoroughly researched and identified as those most appropriate in the circumstances.

No matter how long a blog post (500 words should be suffice), you can target it to specific keywords if you know what you're doing. It's all a matter of using that phrase throughout the content appropriately. Also, you can create as many campaigns as you want, so I don't quite understand your last statement. Just put the current one on hold and start a new one targeting different keywords. Very easy to do. If you want to use the current campaign, then sure, throw a squeeze page together as you suggested. The blog post wouldn't be the end... you can drive traffic to it via PPC, or you can build backlinks to it and build natural search traffic. So, it would still be a means to an end as you said. No matter what, the objective should be to have a solid plan in place and know exactly what you're going to do in terms of your campaign and landing page, and the keywords you're going to target. The keywords need to be researched correctly before the campaign and landing page are completed. Hope that makes sense.

Ask for reconsideration. None of their accusations are true. Their robots often will make these accusations and then they will reconsider when a human looks at it. As Dele and Alan said you should be using the version of the sales page that has your domain.com/pips.html or your website (domain.com) - or a blog. Another point however is that Google does not like affiliate marketing programs in general because of the duplicated sites and hassle people all the time for Adsense. Another point is they recently banned over 10,000 affiliate marketers for no reason at all - (you can find the thread in the main Warrior Forum) The next thing after that 'sweep' was them announcing that they are selling SEO services for about $30,000 A MONTH(!) Looks like they will have big business (only ones that can afford that) and don't try to tell me their paying customers won't get preferential treatment in rankings, etc. I am hoping for a nice class action anti-trust lawsuit about this last issue. |

Thanks all for your advise and suggestions indeed :-) I shall trial and error a bit using both splash page and blog as suggested by Dele and Alan. And Pat is certainly right. I'm quite annoyed the first warning is the final warning. I will also check each keyword used has quality score of at least 5 and above. Hopefully, this won't trigger the bots. |
