From the perspective of an online Helpdesk I would say that the biggest frustration I face from people is magical thinking.

So many people believe that just having a website or a sales page or an autoresponder that it will get traffic by osmosis (without any effort on their part).

They will whine after 15-20 days that they have seen nothing happen when they have taken no action, even to complete the free training or follow the step-by-step directions.

... with that said even 30 days is just getting to the beginning. They need to understand that marketing is all about building and sustaining momentum over time. To do this they need to take consistent and aggressive action to promote their business.

PIPS gives someone everything they need to get started. However it is what they do with what they have been given that determines their success.

So I would say to encourage your downline to complete the training and to use the resources we have provided.

Refer them to the 30 Days to Success training, the Bonuses and the Marketing sections in their back office.

Tell them that they need to post to their blog and publish articles as often as is humanly (or technically) possible.

Sometimes (and I am one of these people) it helps to hold them accountable.

If you really want to be a super sponsor you might start something where you give them a checklist based on the training, to start working on after they finish the training. The list would include the things they need to do each day.

Then (super duper) they report to you what actions they have taken on a weekly basis so you can give them 'atta boys' (affirmation).

I realize this is quite time and labor intensive to be a 'coach' so any degree of this model would be better than nothing, all the way to doing the most. At some level you may even consider becoming a coach or mentor and charging for your time beyond the basic checklist.

p.s.

Of all the 'mottos' and 'sayings' that I have heard in my years in the Internet Marketing industry, the one about 'Teach a Man to Fish' is the most valuable. It is about if you give a man a fish he can eat for one day. However if you teach him to fish he will always have food.

That means we need to learn to do everything for ourselves. Even though if you have money to pay others to do them for you, it is easier, you will always be dependent unless you learn how to do what you need to do for yourself.

I guess for me as a two month Newbie with no previous internet or computer experience the first problem is information overload. The second that I am starting to encounter now is how to find the best way to monetize. ie do I continue to blindly follow Stone's directive that promoting my Pips site effectively promotes all my affiliate programs or do I start to promote the programs individually.
Regards
Steve

I agree with the fact that we can be overloaded! I guess what we should do is lazer focus on one thing at a time. Learn and master one strategy and one method of marketing at a time. Block out all the other strategies until we master THAT one before moving on to the next. One thing to remember is, once a system is proven to work it will always work.

Thanks for sharing..

From my perspective, the greatest frustration i have had over time has to do with not been able to compete on a level playing field with all my other colleagues from across the world, rightly or wrongly and purely due to no fault of mine but for the collective responsibility i share for the fault of others.

I can only imagine how relieved i will be if all the disadvantages i face resulting from the above is removed.

To emphasize my frustration with these, i wrote the following article, a copy of which is on my blog while i have others submitted to article directories.

What would i like more help with?

Of course, removing this unfortunate and highly restrictive burden largely placed on those of us from my part of the world, by Paypal, Clickbank, Amazon, Ebay etc.
