If you haven't done so before you should take a look at your site on URLFan. It's another interesting site that will give you some stats. URLFan.Com Steve |

Hi Stephen, Request for ranking to my sites returned negative. Had to submit RSS feeds. You have an excellent rating there. Congratulations. Cheers, John Shelembe |

Hi Stephen, Another great resource you have provided. Unfortunately my website doesn't rank anywhere close to yours. That means you're doing an excellent job! This is great for viewing who is linking to your website, using your articles, etc. Another way I like to keep tabs on stuff like this is Google Alerts. Alan |

I've been pretty underwhelmed with Google Alerts. Been using it for most of the past year and found that it only catches some of the mentions, and ususally finds things from a month back. Rarely anything current. You had better luck with it, Alan?

I actually just started using it 2 weeks back. So far I've been checking the dates on when stuff was posted and the furthest back is 2 weeks and got the alert on Nov. 3. Not too bad. I have noticed that my Twitter posts get indexed very quickly and those alerts are within 2 or 3 days max. I think it depends a lot on when the sites are indexed that are linking to your site, quoting your name or whatever it is you're getting alerted about. Until those links or content are indexed, an alert won't show up for it. That's how I look at it. Alan |
