Is Stat Counter Reliable?

Hi Everyone, Is stat counter very reliable when it comes to keeping up with the number of visitors to your site? Because I use several other stat counters and everyone has a different number of visitors to my site. Are they reliable numbers? Dianne

Hi Dianne,

Are you referring to the stat counter provided with your Host4Profit account? I would imagine it's quite reliable. Keep in mind it's also showing all of your hits and site visits as well. Other stat counters could differ for many different reasons. If anything I would take the average of the stats you have to give you a "general" number.

Google Analytics can provide more in-depth stats if you're up to adding the tracking code to every page of your site. With Google Analytics, you can block your IP address so that it doesn't record your hits on your website.

Hi, I also use Statcounter and find it very accurate. I have a Joomla site so it is easy to add to every page. I prefer it to Google because it is easier to use and more in depth. It will tell you where the visitors came from and what keywords were used with just a couple clicks.
