Hi everyone. My name is Darlyn, married for 9 years and a stay at home, homeschooling mom of 2 beautiful kids. I'm orignally from CA but now residing in WA. I've done different things such as selling physical things on Craigs List and ebay, designed my own sites and blogs, and created/sold graphics packs to the Myspace community.

Current projects include creating original graphics to be sold on Zazzle/Cafepress products, learning bum marketing, building mini sites, as well as flipping sites.

I currently have no budget for the above projects so I have to start from scratch, from the ground up. It causes me to freeze up because of my fear of failing. But I'm hoping to get past it as I read more from this forum!

Got involved in directory editing in the 90's after I built my first website, a biz site for my real estate firm. While doing what we considered SEO at the time (today the practice is known as "spamming the hell outta search engines") I ran across the (then fledgling) Dmoz project. Edited there (or at least edited occasionally between wasting time in their forums) for many years, and eventually ventured onto the net professionally.

Gathered a group of editors I'd worked with over the years and started a team doing contract work for a large directory whose name I'll leave out since my primary skill is embarrassing them in public every time I touch the company blog. That was a couple of years ago... I've since gone on staff for them, which is good for me but certainly raises questions about their judgment. Aside from that they seem an exceedingly bright bunch.

Tend to keep a browser window or two open to web forums, and moderate at a couple in my spare time. Decided to check out Warrior because it seems to have a good rep. Since then I've discovered it also moves faster than the average chat room. God bless your mods, better them than me.

Perusing the forum I see a lotta faces I know from elsewhere. To those, if I owe you money, I'm not the same guy, you're mistaken, and I really did mail that check. Also noticed the reason I couldnt login with my more common user name (this one, sans numerals) is because you just banned someone that had it. FTR, he's a rank imposter, I'm technically the real Rob Jones and the rest are untalented posers seeking unearned fame.

Anyway... nice to meet y'all... feel free to vote for me in 2012 when I run for President. Granted I don't have any qualifications for the job, but historically this has not proven an impediment to office, so I'll cross my fingers.

I am a 16 years webmaster and professional video gamer, classically focussing on gaming, however the last several years have been HIGHLY PROFITABLE ONLINE due to my personal study of "competition" websites and adapting what they've done on a "grander scale" to pip their top position for myself.

It's been "in-depth" and annoying as h-ll "self-training" - out of pure need, I've decided to start receiving advice from online resources to further accelerate my constantly improving monetization attempts.

I am already a professional at adwords, ppc, banner advertising, etc... THAT STUFF IS THE EASY PART.

The hard part of online monetization for myself is the "content generation and outsourcing for minimal to no results.

I've been forced to employ amazon mechanical turk, etc staff but found them extremely unprofessional.

So I'm now attempting to automate the majority of my tasks through ethical methods, (which I won't mention here because I've propably been banned for false "self promotion" from various sites before and no longer wish to "take such risk)...

To summarize, if anyone knows something I don't about online monetization, then step my way and score 25% for life...

Thanks for giving me a place to introduce myself. My name is Retta, and like so many people, I was laid off last fall and I have been hanging on with unemployment bennies. Since I was no longer employed, I thought it would be a great time to look into making a living on the internet, since I did not want to start a new job with only one week vacation a year. I love to travel too much for that! I ran across the Niche Blitzkrieg system, and since it was cheap I decided to give it a try.

I am now 8 months into it and I have to say, I love the work. I have learned a lot, but I am not making any money yet. I hope that changes here pretty quick, or I will be back in the job market, which is not where I want to be.

I had a hard time figuring out kw research, but I think I finally understand, so I hope to see an improvement soon. I think my latest sites are looking a bit more professional than when I started, but I am still not sure of how to make the conversion, I think I need to get some traffic first, then I will work on conversion techniques.

I hope to learn some things by cruising the forum here, if anyone wants to point me towards some good information that can be found here, I would be grateful.

BTW, I would love to see an example of an affiliate travel site that is doing well monetarily, if anyone has one that would like to share. You have to have a passion about a method to make it work effectively. Don't be discouraged if some of the suggestions are too costly, or you just don't understand. Move on to the methods that work for you.

If I am honest I have to say that FEAR motivated me. Not for me, but fear for his future I guess.

All the products for ( NEWBIES ) or( INTERNET BEGINNERS ) still seem really complicated to me. I have spent a small fortune, and although I am now broke,and I realize that I don't know what I'm doing I am determined to learn what I need to know.

One of the small products that I bought suggested that I learn to blog as a start, so here I am. I still don't know what I'm doing, but I'm here to learn.I could be in for a wild ride. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks, aye.

I started in mid 2009 with a cocktails website, back then I thought that submitting a website to the search engine was enough, so I never made any backlinks or did any promotion Bet you're thinking what a newbie....

Well I was but now, nearly 2 years later I'm much more clued into how to promote a site and what to look for when creating one. Currently I write IM ebooks with all the tricks I've learned over the years which have actually worked for me. It's going well so far.

The most stressful business I ran was a dropshipping business online. The problem with that was when you dropshipped the product if the customer wanted to return it, you got stuck with the item potentially losing money (if you cant sell it on).

The key to succeeding online is to never give up, sure have a break for a few weeks but that hunger to make money will always drive you back. That's what has got me where I am anyway

Backlinks are kind of difficult for me, I have tied Angela's and a couple of others like hers and nothing works. I am trying posting on high pr forums and blogs which seems to work. I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me.:rolleyes:
