I work on my SEO by searching for free quality backlinks. I find that many want reciprocals. I can't see adding a ton of links to my main PIPS page. I have also noticed several link exchanges want the same. Should I or is there such a thing as a page just for this. In other words should I set up another page just for listing backlinks.

I also joined a link exchange where I have a directory set up for other webmasters to put their links. I don't put it out here as I'm not sure it's allowable. My question is: Is this a good thing and if so how to promote it?

I would not do reciprocal linking manually for 'all the tea in China'.

A automatic link exchange is the only way. We recommend LinkMachine.com but if you have a PIPS website you can add whatever you want there.

All that is visible on your site itself is a link called 'Link' or something like that. They click it and go to your link partner index page where they join your other partners.
