Which of the two is better or more advantageous to use, Google Analytics or StatCounter? Your reasons will be appreciated. Thanks, Gerard |

I use Google for all my sites. The reason is that all their tools are free and very powerful, so why not. I use it to build reports on where my traffic is coming from, for which keywords etc etc. It really helps me to look at the focus of my site. For instance without it I wouldn't have know that Google finds my site more relevent for keywords that I was not even trying to rank for, I wrote a post or two to help boost it in those new keywords then started getting a little traffic for those as well as my primary. Google Analytics is, by far, superior to StatCounter. You can also see which links on your site are being clicked on and how many times they're being clicked. There are many other useful features as well. I have Analytics installed on all of my sites.

Good analytics is the best but some people said that it doesn't count the unique visitors and impression correctly for some odd reason.
