Desperate SFI Prospect - What Do I Tell Her??
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted here on the forum, but I have a question about one of my SFI affiliates. I have Jeff Casmer's autoresponder series, which my affiliate has subscribed to. She emailed me yesterday saying that she is ready to get started, so I guided her back through the important steps in getting started, and means of promoting SFI.

This morning she has emailed me saying that she has no money and needs to start earning money immediately. Well this is not going to happen, but what do I tell her because she is sounding a bit desperate now.

Please help

I've heard that one plenty of times. All you can do is stress the fact that they need to look at the resources and training that SFI and you provide, and they need to take action.

They don't have to spend any money to make money. There are products they can sell and earn commissions from. They just have to be willing to work hard and take action on what they learn.

Not much more to say than that.

Regards,

Alan

Thanks Alan and Jeff,

Thanks for your advice.
I have just emailed her back and directed her to the SFI forum, free advertising sites and online forums. I don't think she will be happy about this as she "wants to make money now!" short of doing all the work for her, or waving my magic wand ** hmmm, if only I had a magic wand ** there is not much more I can do.

You're right. There is nothing more you can do. They have to be the one who decides to do something. The sad reality is that many don't.

Ah, to be able to communicate with your SFI affiliates. I have six Generation 1 affiliates that I have welcomed and sent follow-ups to, yet not one of them have bothered to respond. I know I'm still new to the business (I joined SFI a couple months ago) but I do understand the importance of encouraging my team. In tough times that we are all facing (to varying degrees) it is understandable that some new signups would feel a bit of desperation. but all you can do, as others have mentioned here, is just encourage and hope that your affiliate follows up.

Many of my members never reply to my emails, including my EA's. Some have been very good with asking questions and getting advice. They are few, though. All you can do is send out a group email through SFI every now and then and hope for the best.

Hello:

I mirror what Alan just said: few respond, even the EA's.

Regardless of that, as leaders, we need to have faith and keep sending those periodic group messages to try to inspire the potentially keen ones. Who knows? Maybe some don't respond to your message but do still follow your advice and recommendations.

The other reason to not give up on them is because for some people, the timing has to be right: like, circumstances in their life or finances or something you say that finally sparks their imagination.

There isn't much you can do for the ones who "need to earn money right now" other than refer them to the SFI site for resources and ideas. Like Jeff said, we've all been there, and many of us have looked at it from both sides.

One way to make money faster in SFI is to show the retail products to family, friends and others locally. A person with confidence, belief and a little sales ability would be able to make some immediate sales.

Hi Kelly,
You can also recommend her to try online surveys, there are some she can join for free like
Get Paid to Complete Offers at CashCrate.com!

GT and Alan are correct. Most affiliates never right back, some are even EA. The secret is to keep working and send them regular email, pretend that they read them, most chances they do.
On the other hand some will contact you in the future asking questions you answered on a previous email.

You can never know, there are surprises.

Hi all,

I also face some trouble with my team. After joining for 2 months. I got 10 affiliates under me. They contact me to seek advice. After they know they need to invest some money, they are totally quite right now. Even I encourage them to promote SFI product via e-mail, still no response. It seems everybody out there dreams to make money quick and easy in short period!!

It totally depends on how you recruit new affiliates to SFI. If your target market are "freebie" seekers, chances are they will not invest a dime into the SFI business... or put forth any effort to make a dime either. These folks have a different mindset than someone who is seriously seeking an opportunity to start a profitable business. Shift your focus just slightly to target opportunity seekers who are willing to invest time and money into their business and you will have better success. Recruit first... then lead them to the SFI (or PIPS) opportunity.

That's a very good point.

Thanks everyone for your replies, there has been some great feedback here.
I have not heard back from my affiliate and I am not going to hound her with advice because then she will most probably give up all together. I will just cross my fingers now and hope for the best.
Unfortunately there are so many people searching for business opportunities who think you can sign up for a website and the money will start rolling in. If only it were that easy, we would all be rich LOL.

Kelly,

I have heard that so many times and at the end, these people never did anything.

They were tire-kickers. People who were looking to make money but did not want to invest ANY money what so ever.

I think that you should move on and keep those affiliates in your SFI business coming in all the time.

Hope that this helps.
