Does anyone know of good plr sites I can purchase ebooks and affiliate websites so I can use them in my ecommerce store. Also, if you edit a plr article does it make it yours.

When you buy PLR there is usually a 'license' type document included that lists the things you are entitled to do and what you are not allowed to do by the agreement.

Like -

permission to change - yes or no
permission to call myself the author - yes or no
permission to sell - yes or no

Be sure you have that document for any PLR you use to protect yourself.

http://www.FastPLR .com has good plr products and has free information on how you can use PLR products.

Patrician is right - take particular note of what the licence allows.

There are some good sites and some not so good, I define a good PLR site as one that does not make me work too hard in order to make use of the PLR material.

When you edit PLR that is not enough, you should change it up more than just a little, in fact if you totally change up a PLR Article, then you have something that is unique.

There are some PLR products that have restrictive license terms, even crazy illegal terms of use, I do not buy those types of products, I avoid any product that will not disclose the license or terms of use.

I like unrestricted, PLR that is the best you can get because you can do anything you want with it, slice it, dice it, chop it, serve it hot or cold, its good, any way you like it,

So be wary of these So called PLR products that have ten no you cants and only two yes you cans,
