Help - Dezzian Free WordPress Theme - Box Tube
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I am using this theme, and have run into a newbie problem.

"I love the theme, but am having some trouble getting my header add to show up in the right place, and getting the sample one to disappear as well as where to place the code for the 125×125 ads.Can you tell me exactly where to place my add code based upon the following:

125×125 ad
<img src=”/images/ads.gif” alt=”1″ />

468x 60 ad in the header. php

<img src=”/images/468.gif” alt=”" width=”468″ height=”60″ />

I’ve tried a couple of places, and it doesn’t work. I know this might be beginnerish, but I need some help with the one. Thanks in advance.

Also, if you are aware of a great resource tutorial available please share."

Can anyone help me out.

Jeff Houdyschell can get you fixed up. He will probably be in here soon as he's "the man" when it comes to Wordpress blogs. He is very techie and has helped many of us fix problems that we have ran into.

I'm not sure I understand the code in relation to your question. But, if I had to guess I'd say just replace the <img src=”/images/ads.gif” alt=”1″ />. If you want to replace that ad, just upload your image and put the path name of your image in it's place. For example <img src="http://www.YourDomain.com/images/YourImageName.gif or .jpg or whatever extension it is.

Do the same thing to the other ad as well if you want an ad there. Otherwise just delete that code.

Not sure if that helps any. I've changed my theme around in a similar fashion. All I did was test and test. Make sure to create a backup first. Keep making little changes and see what happens. That's a good way to learn as well.

Alan

Alan has it right, just replace the current path to the the image to the one you want.

Right now the path /images/ads.gif is pointing to the themes image folder. So you can upload the new image to the same location and then change the code to point to it /images/NewImage.gif. The file extension needs to match too so if it is jpg make sure that is correct.

Or you can specify the absolute path to it using what Alan wrote: <img src="http://www.YourDomain.com/images/YourImageName.gif or .jpg or whatever extension it is.

There should also be an area to change the URL of what the banner is linked to as well.

Thanks, Houdy. I was hoping I understood it right.
