I tried safelists in the past and it did not work too well for me. If you want to get the best results in PIPS, I would go with paid marketing like pay per click. |

(Haven't posted in a while, happy to see the war room is still popping too) Most of the newer safelistt use the new LFMVM script and are pretty much all credit based and also allow for social branding. So they tend to have a photo or avatar of the person promoting the offer and about 50% of more have facebook, twitter and linked in icons that allow you to connect offsite with these members. Note: The older non-credit based mailers are total crap I personally use about 80(maybe more) credit mailers and find that i get better results than traffic exchanges - for one thing most traffic exchanges make you view 2 or 3 offers in order to earn 1 credit and usually havea timer of about 6-10 seconds so you can surf a max of 6 - 10 pages per minute in exchange for 2 to 5 credits in return(one credit = one visitor or 5-20 banner or text ad impressions) Safelists on the other hand allow you to tempt the user with your email headline and email message - and they still have to click on the credit link and wait usually 10 seconds to earn credits - the BIG DIFFERENCE - is that most of these safelist will reward you with 5 - 10 credits per page viewed not a measly 0.33 or 0.5 credits. So if you launch 5-7 emails all at once you can quickly rack up 25 - 70 credits! Rememebr though the people you are advertisiers are all PROMOTING their offers, and therefore you should offer something that will help them PROMOTE their offer or get higher conversions. Now i've upgraded in about 8 of them, lifetime memberships range from $10 to $100 plus, and many only offer monthly upgrades - i snag the under $20 lifetime upgrades and i usually get triple everything plus 5,000 to 50,000 free credits every month. Note: unless money is no object you should try them earnign and using free credits first, but remember that some people don't look at your offers and will just inflate your hits they just want to grab the credits and get to the next mailer, so make sure your offer is to the point and loads fast 'above the fold' and doesn't require scrolling, these people are not usually looking to spend time reading your offer, some however like myself actually scan the subject lines and even bookmark interesting sites and video pages for later, sometimes i'mlookign for something to sell or useful software - again don't promote a chainsaw or perfume unless it's v'day and you got a great deal lol Either have a very targetted offer that will stop themin their tracks or a video page or something they can optin to get I also promote(direct link - no squeeze page) several pro-only mailers and i've made quite a few sales, also using a squeezepage to offer something to busy marketers that they can opt in to and check out later or use a video page(with pleasant intro or no music) and many will stop to listen or at least hunt down that browser tab to close it and if you open with a good benefit or look intereteing they will stop and watch I've also contacted many of these promoters via facebook private message( i just mention that i saw their ad and wanted to know more about it and briefly mention what i promote but i only give a link if they ask for more info, but usually the focus is on what they were promoting and anything else they think i might be interested in, they've all been very down to earth and friendly) Those 3 routes work for me - optin page, direct sales page if it has vidoe or is very targetted, and contacting members offsite or by replying to ask them questions after you optin to their offers, and ofcourse sometimes they have their email right on the offer almost forgot - you should brand all of your offers whenever possible or create a unique branded page, people like to see faces or personal videos and after a while persons get to know you and what you have promoted in the past. Really if you see the same guy/gal in every mailer and branding everyone of their offers they are usually easy to reach and they are usually making money from wha they are promoting, so you kinda get to know them from the branding, a lot of them even brand their banners - once you know some of them or have spoken to them you're very likely to jump on whatever they recommend without a througough investigation just like soem people here in Warrior Forum, if Allen Says green lights it people don't bother to ask 20 questions |

I just wrote a blog post about if safelists work or not you can read it here Do Safelists Work I've posted proof that safelists work and you can see which ones got results I didn't hide anything like most people do when sharing their results. Anyway I'm a member of more then 30 safelist sites. Some work better then others that goes with anything you do online. It also will depend what you are offering to the safelist members. Most people that join safelists are looking for other ways to get traffic to their website. So I tend to market exactly that ways for people to get more traffic and my conversions are pretty good. Also most people that join a safelist have a limited budget so you need to keep that in mind. I tend to only offer stuff that is under $50, and even before I show them my sales page I collect the lead first then tell them about what it is I'm pitching and how it can help them. So all and all it comes down to like anything else online. You need to know who your marketing to and find out what their needs are. If you don't do that then you're wasting your time and that goes with any advertising source PPC, PPV, etc... But anyone that says safelists don't work are completely wrong. Sure you won't get rich using them but I don't see why you couldn't make a couple extra hundred marketing the right product. |

Safelist marketing is a numbers game you need to have a set plan (assuming you don't want to pay) and stick to it diligently. I think the key thing to remember is that safelists are better suited for building down lines and not necessarily products - unless your offering increase traffic services to their websites Patience is also a good virtue - it will happen I collect 20,000 credits minimum daily. Get to know the effective safelists and trash the ones that are not, then learn about them inside out I know marketers who have been doing nothing but safelists for ten years - no need for a day job I have been doing mine for a few months now and I am seeing results - though Rome was not built in a day |

I say that Safelists do work! I have had success with them in the past and continue to do so to this day. That's why I keep using them. Like others posted above, you have to know the audience. You don't have to necessarily use short ad copy if you have a great headline. But you should use credit-based safelists only. This can be a time-consuming method but you can build a list this way and even get a few sales from it. I remember promoting a CPA offer through only safelists and got a really good conversion rate because the ad-copy and video offer was great. This was a $300 product with $50 payments too - I promoted it through safelists until the vendor pulled the offer 4 months later. So, yes they do work with the right offer, headline, squeeze page, etc... I like to also use Safelists and Traffic Exchanges which track your responses because its a great way to test different headlines that you can use for bigger, or paid, campaigns later on. If your headline works in a safelist or TE consistently then it will work anywhere. |

Safelist works very well. If you try to sell via Safelist you´ll fail, but if you send them to a squeezepage with an outstanding freebie in the IM niche you can build a list very fast. People who use safelist might be there to promote their own opportunity, but they are also opportunity seekers them selves. They want to earn money them selves. If you give them a great way to get traffic for free they´ll opt-in to your list and eventually begin to buy your products and love your free content... It´s possible to get more than 375+ subscribers per week with safelists if done correctly. Remember if someone says that safelist doesn´t work it might not be correct because it did not work for them. PPC did not work for me but it works for others...the same thing with safelists it works for me, but for others it did not work. Safelist is one of the easiest free ways to build a list if you know what to do, and it´s fast..... |

I am new to the safelist world & received a lot of good info from reading this thread. Thanks all! However, I noticed the last post was in 2015... - Is using safelists becoming a way of the past? - Also, a more interesting question may be - what would make safelists better? Lets continue the conversation... I still believe there is a place for this marketing! |

Absolutely! I did a 2 month test recently where i bought ZERO paid advertising and ONLY used safelists. The end result was 237 subscribers added to my email list and a few sales as well. There are 2 reasons people fail using them. #1 - they are promoting a join or sales page directly #2 - they are promoting a capture page presenting a business opportunity I used to make the same mistake when i first started using them many years ago. Here is the key to think about if you are using them.... Why are you using them? - to generate more traffic, leads, signups, sales it's a safe bet to say that's why others are using them too. so why offer people what they are looking for... i.e. ways to generate more traffic, more leads, more signups and sales, training to get more organized, ways to spend less time generating traffic, marketing tools to help people market THEIR business more effectively. then demonstrate the benefits of your product or service through your follow-up emails and continue to give more tips and strategies to HELP them grow their business. it takes an average of 7-12 points of contact before someone will make a buying decision, some more, some less. so during that time frame simply focus on helping them with what they need and depending upon what your niche is, you may have a paid product that would help them benefit even more and you can share it with them. That's the summarized version. I hope this helps! |

To get the most out of safelists, you have to do a few things. To start, create a splash or capture page, preferably with NO video. I can't tell you how many sales pages I see when going through the emails. Next, make sure you're using a tracker on your submit button. It does no good to track how often your page is getting loaded. That doesn't mean it's being read, but if you track the "get started' button, then you have a real click-thru to your offer. If you advertise on multiple safelist evey single day, you should get some signups within your first couple of weeks. If a month has gone by with no sign ups, then change your capture page. Don't use the same capture page your company gives you because everybody in the company is using it. Here is a list of 10 free capture page builders you can use to build a unique capture page. Keep testing the click thrus on different safelist. Keep the ones that give you good results and replace the ones with poor results. Always Be Testing when it comes to Safelist. Once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake to breeze through. |

Personally, I think in 2021 and beyond Safelists are a waste of time... For all the reasons already mentioned. Usually, the only person profiting from a safelist is the owner of it. He/she is selling premium subscriptions. The lure and promise of "free advertising" are tempting for new marketers, but to a very large extent, they don't work for most people. If you still insist on using/trying a few safelists, here are the best safelists (most popular) that I found. Hope this helps. Cheers, Tim |
