Hi charlene, It is really a difficult question to answer, but you need to do everything you have been doing and do it regularly and the rewards will soon start to show. When writing articles or blog posts etc, it is important that you optimize each article or blog post to maximize the benefit. What you are trying to achieve in doing this, is generate "backlinks" and subsequently visitors. There are numerous posts to be found in the forum to help you on this subject, but if you still get stuck....just ask ...anyone will help. By the way, one thing that will help you is your forum signature..you don't appear to have set yours up. Graham |

Hmm... I think even the gurus will have a hard time answering your question as only the SE knows. Just continue what you to do to promote your site. As they say, "patience is a virtue". |

Hi charlene, You have to be patient. Growing an online business takes time, this is not a get rich quick scheme. As Graham said, keep doing what you do everyday and you will see results. It can take you 3 month, 6 or more, or even less, it also depend on you choices. Good luck Tanny |

Hi Charlene: Success does require dedication and patience, as others have mentioned, and success comes for different people at different times. After more than a year in PIPS I am still working towards financial success ... but I HAVE achieved success in other areas. HTML and website changes, for example. It was all a terrible mystery to me up until a couple of months ago, then my determination and practice paid off as suddenly, one day, it all started making sense! Indexing with the search engines is another area. I can't remember when my website reached a PageRank of 2, but it was some number of months ago. However, my Blogger blog (hosted on my domain) showed absolutely no PageRank for a full year even though I was posting regularly and promoting it heavily. Then, all of a sudden, about a month ago, bingo - a PageRank of 2! (What a relief - I thought I was doing something wrong and that it would never be indexed!) To me, these few things are success and are indicators that I AM doing something right and heading in the right direction GT |

It took me a month to get my first PIPS sign-up - and the money comes in drips and drabs after a whole year - but it is steadily growing - so just keep on plugging. I don't think of myself as patient, but I'm still here because I totally believe in this business (which is probably the next important quality you need!) Ros | |

It has taken me about 7 months to get my site to the page rank 3. after 12 months I have my website on the 1st page of google for "internet business ideas" keyword. Also I managed to get a few of my articles to the top of search engines. So it will work for you as well but it takes time definitely. Directory submission, article marketing and video marketing are the things that I've been focused on all that time. After a year or even sooner you will surely notice results of your hard work too. Best Regards Dan |

Great question and great answers. It really does vary as everyone works at a different pace and has different goals and objectives. If you keep working on the back links, eventually you will start to see a few search engine visitors, then you will see a slow trickle, then you will see that trickle turn into a small stream of visitors, then a river, and then a flood. It really is a slow process and that is the way Google makes it and wants it to be. It's good that you are patient...you'll do just fine. Matt |

Hi Charlene, Matt is dead right, what Google want is content, content and more content. The more you do the better, use optimisation in your articles and try to be a bit different from everyone else then the more companies like google will love you. It is a slow and steady busness, remember the hare and the tortoise story, you'll get there, just keep at it. all the best, Mal. |

Hi Charlene, I think this is a question that also was in my head before too and I've seen in the forum few times since I joined PIPS and it's hard to answer. To me, please patient and keep doing what ever you've been doing and that day will come. I told myself "don't give up". Good Luck KT52 |

Yes I agree with everybody. This is very painful process. A lot of things need to do. But at least I'm little bit happy right know after i'm cheking my Statcounter account, I found that 3 entries come from search engines. I think this is good start for me and I will never give up to get better place in search engines. FADZLI |

Hi Charlene-- One of the hardest things to determine is a definitive result to marketing efforts. But still be encouraged. I would like to make a suggestion. What I do every day, is to write 1-10 down on a piece of paper. What this represents, is 10 traffic avenues that I commit myself to completing a day. For instance, if I write an article, I submit it to the co-op (1), I submit it to ideamarketers (2), I will plug the article in on my blog (3), I will send out email blasts on the different traffic sites indicating there is a new post from The Jordan Report (4), I will utilize Ping-O-Matic (5) and so on. This creates a constant flow of links out there for you. If 10 does not work for you, do 5. Just make sure you commit yourself to something. Then, whenever the search engines kick in, than it is just gravy!! Good Luck TJ |

In my experience posting blogs, particularly on Blogger, is very quick for Google indexing especially if you ping it after you do updates. You may want to a create a blog that links to your main website.

It is difficult to say how long especially because there are millions of sites fighting it out to get to the first page of google. Lot of set backs and waiting till success appears. Even in my case to get a page rank 3 I had wait long and still doing daily all that you do. Persistence is needed to succeed online as internet is so vast and so competitive.

"....By the way, one thing that will help you is your forum signature..you don't appear to have set yours up..." Graham, that's a good point. I get lots of backlinks from Warrior Forum from my forum signature, which should be your keywords you are ranking.
