Hi guys and gals

Got a quickie for ya. Well I have written a few articles and my question is should i summit them to the article directories only or also put them in my blog. I was thinking on doing both.

Hi, Chris:

I am interested in hearing what other members say, too. There continues to be debate concerning duplicate content, so I suspect the recommendations will be to avoid posting the same articles in both your blog and in the directories.

I know that what many of our contemporaries do is write the article, then make changes to it and create variations that they then post to their blog or other places.

Great question...

Well, what we do know is that Google most definitely likes fresh content. So the more fresh content you can provide, the better off you'll be.

Of course it is going to take more work to write separate articles for your blog and the directories and that is why people are creating a new spin of the same article which seems to work for some people.

When Google sees that you have duplicate content out there, it will not index that content. So if you have write an article and put it on your blog, then submit the same article to 10 directories, Google may only index 1 article and that may not even be the one on your blog.

Thats why its best to leave the article on your own blog for a few days so Google will first index the article there rather than somewhere else.

Or what works better is to submit 20 different articles to 20 different directories and Google will index them all

Best,
Matt

Yes. In doing so, Google will basically index the article on your blog and will recognize you as the original creator.

Hi Chris,

Your question raises another issue. Should your blog articles be written in the same format and style as your articles that are submitted to article directories? The restrictions on style and substance imposed by directories make for very dry articles. Some marketers choose to make their blog articles more personal and more fun. SEO principles can still be followed.
Just food for thought.

I just tried to change the writing and some ideas between the articles to be submitted and articles in my blog. I added some points and modified the structure of the essay a bit too.

I have been using article marketing for 2 years now. My advice is post the article on your blog and submit it to article directories after 3 days, it works well for me. Both are indexed by Google and MSN, Yahoo.

I submitted the articles to 5 BIG article directories only manually and did not use any automated tool.

I didn't take the time to read the other responses, so this was probably already said. Do both! Just make sure to change the article when putting it on your blog. At least 30% is good.

I have written articles and posted them to the directories as well as putting the same article on my blog. I don't think there's an issue with it. But you can you write a lead-up to your article with different wording that introduces the article, and then post a link to your article in your blog, instead of the full article. Just as effective.
