Can anyone explain to me in detail how to add widgets to the plug-in profit wordpress template. I have entered my widgets using the Arbitrary text or HTML, but it don't show up on the page when I reload it.

Is it a special section to enter your own widgets?

Please explain how to make the widgets viewable.

I would certainly appreciate it very much.

I am not sure Centra but I thought Widgets were Blogspot and Wordpress is Plug-Ins. Then again maybe I remember widgets in Wordpress too....


The files to edit the theme which are customized for PIPS are the header.php and the footer.php.

Remember if anyone is making changes to those files they need to back them up before doing more changes.

We have no copies of your changes and if you blow up your site all I can give you is the original that I installed - no changes will be included - so you will just have to start over.

Additionally if you are making changes - HTML and PHP are very similar - however keep in mind PIPS is still built with iframes and tables. You need to know when you are in the right spot - if you are inside of another block of code being used for something else, or outside of either a table or iframe you are going to have a mess.

So bottom line - make a back up before you try anything - in the worst case scenario if you need to me to restore the site, contact the Helpdesk with the following information.

cPanel username and password
