Hi everyone I was wondering how do I post articles on my website. Do I post them like I do my blog through blogger? I am new to this and I need some help as to how I do this.Or would it be better to post them to article directories instead? Which would give me more exposure. Thanks Dianne

Hi Dianne

I saw this yesterday and since you have no answers yet, I thought Id put in my two bobs worth!

Before you do anything - BACKUP your site NOW!

Suzanne Morisson has a great book available to tell you exactly how to do this and Darrin has a really simple video series aswell - I have both.

If I just want to change main page - I BACKUP and then I use the free html editor called NVU. (Stone has a link to this in the Pips back office or google NVU)

So - I backup (are ya hearin' me???.....lol)
then open the main page in NVU and edit/change/add whatever
when Im happy with how it looks I save it
then go to webepanel (H4P) and upload the new page

you may as well just have a go - if you can get Suzannes template and book it will be WWWAAAYYYY easier for you to follow - if you prefer to watch get Darrins videos.

If you totally stuff it up - Pat can restore it, as long as your site has not undergone any custom work - if it has, when she does the restore you will get the original pips site back with no customizations.

so thats for NVU - now I have learnded basic html - I just do it in the code.
depends whats going to work best for you - but the way I went was to get the proper info and follow it step by step!

good luck
Kym

Hi Dianne,

You should post to article directories and to your website. The best way to post to your website is by posting the article on your blog.

The only problem is that you need to change the article for your blog so that it's different than the version you submit to article directories.

If you Google "Content Checkup" you can find a free program that will let you compare two writings, and it will tell you by what percentage they are different. They must be at least 30% different.

Really, they have to be different?! Why is that?
Darn, thought I had an easy route figured out!

Well, if you don't want to make them different, then post it to your blog first and make sure Google has indexed it. Then, you can go ahead and submit it to article directories.

As Alan said it isn't 100% neccessary to make changes, but a really cool thing can happen if you make some minor changes.

I have one article I wrote with long tail key words which I posted to three or four directories and my blog. I reworked the titles, first and last paragraphs, and 3 of them are listed in the top 20 for google, and top 10 for Yahoo, my blog being one of them in google.

So you don't need to rewrite - in fact I don't with every article - but there can be some good benefits.

Mark
