Hi everyone

im a little confused which stat counter is accurate, my pips stat counter is telling me im getting twice as much traffic as another stat counter on my site. does anyone know which would be more accurate, many thanks

Hi, your H4P stat counter is not real easy to read and it can be very deceiving. I would not trust it for an accurate visitor count. there is a program called "Stat counter". it is far more accurate. Some people also like Googl;e Webmaster Tools and stats. Both of those would be far better. For some both of those are also a bit disappointing because the numbers will be far lower at first from your H4P count.

Hi Chalene,

like Steve, I prefer Statcounter however, you do need to check your blocking cookie frequently otherwise it will record your own visits when you are making adjustments to your website or blog. I always make a point of checking it is still active before I do any work on my site.

I do use stat counter, But the result stat counter is giving me is a lot lot lower than pips stat counter which is a bit depressing as stat counter seems more reliable, oh well ile have to work a bit harder,

Unfortunately I have seen a lot of people come here excited about their H4P visitor count and how many visitors they thought they were getting when the truth was the numbers were not close to real.

But, visitor count really doesn't mean anything. You can get hundreds of visitors a day and never make a dime if they are not targeted visitors or if your site isn't setup correctly to convert well. Personally i would rather have 50 visitors a day where 2 of them turn into conversions than I would 500 a day and not make any money.

Getting highly targeted visitors and making sure your site it set up for a high conversion ratio should be your goal.

Well said, Stephen. Converting your traffic is very important, and tracking your traffic is very helpful. I like to use Google Analytics, because it lets me do both, and it's free.

Hi Charlene,

Yeah I was dupped and confused by the webEpanel as well. Just be sure to monitor your progress using a few different counters and so long as your traffic is increasing on all of them, you are heading the right direction.
