maybe i can just switch themes for you without too much drama = (transfer or you lose files/blogposts, etc) i am really not positive yet but that's what it looks like today on day 1 - EZ4 ME2 ! (contact the helpdesk with your pips id, domain name, wordpress login UN/PW) and I will let you know for sure.

of course if you want to keep the old theme you are welcome. and i can still help you switch in and out pips core programs. recently in case you don't know:

dropped GDI and added Adminder Guaranteed Visitors and Ad Tracker
dropped Traffic Wave and added Traffic Swarm (back to the beginning in and out 3 or 4 times)
dropped Perpetual20

You are free to keep those programs on your website and continue to promote them or anything else you want from your own personal website of course, as always.

It is the sales page that changed - and changes frequently - in this case to make PIPS even cheaper to join - which should help everybody's sales -

However in fact there are issues with doing conversions at this point - please give me a few more days to learn how to use the new program.

I'm glad to see Adminder back in the program. It's a great tool for tracking (something that has to be done) and is used by a lot of Guru types especially those who do a lot of advertising with Traffic exchanges and Safe list. The guaranteed visitors is a complete waste but the tracking is great.

Sounds like the new back office will make it easy for members to do their own color and font changes. That will save them a lot of money.

I have read this over and over and am as confused as I can get. I have waited as you suggested and went off on some other projects. Now however, I would like to change my site to the PIPS servers. I am still with Host4Profit and that is where I registered the first time. I am not too interested in saving any of my changes as they are few. The blog can be rebuilt as far as I am concerned.
From what I can tell I need to get the DNS changed but I am not sure where to make this change.
Can I file out the application for in step three and it be done for me or can you tell me where to get these changes done. There is way too much information I need a step by step if at all possible.

Any help is appreciated.

I would like to get this change done this weekend if possible..

Yes: As long as you have the version of PIPS (2.0) that has Wordpress embedded on the home page, your content will be safe in the upgrade to 3.0 -

...AND as long as I can login to your Wordpress account, (your site is not corrupted) then the content will be ported to the new upgraded theme.

However, Stone has still not given me the go ahead that the issue with converting existing sites has been resolved.

Right now only brand new sites (with no content) are being installed and working well.

When he fixes the issue (which is about displaying categories) then I will post here that I can do the upgrades for existing members.

Since I am not yet satisfied with my old PIPS 2.0 site and I really like the new theme, and I can't wait to have that brand new look, I chose to immediately have a brand new no content 3.0 PIP site, replacing my old site. And now I got it. No long wait for conversion! And the new site looks great... ' love it!

Wonderful Job, the new site looks great Guess we are all waiting to see when you hear from Stone Pat and if you guys can get the glitches with the conversion worked out. Keeping eyes peeled, for further instruction for those of us who are still at the 2.0 version However, I love the way my site looks at the moment and wouldn't want to change anything, except this upgrade if that's possible without changing the way my site looks now.

There are brand new changes now.

Not to the format/theme but to the technical parts.

1. FOR NEW APPLICANTS ONLY

GVO/HostThenProfit AFFILIATE membership is required for hosting.*

PIPS will use HostThenProfit for hosting the Plug-In Profit Site.

We Build everything through your GVO Affiliate WHM, cPanel, and Wordpress, ETC ...

NOTE: EXISTING MEMBERS WHO HAVE PLUGINPROFITHOST FREE HOSTING WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THE FREE HOSTING AS PROMISED.

WE ARE NO LONGER OFFERING IT TO ANY NEW APPLICANTS.
THE OFFER OF FREE HOSTING FROM PLUGINPROFITHOST.COM HAS EXPIRED.

2. If they register a domain name at pluginprofitsitedomains.com their DNS (domain name servers) will be automatically set to GVO. (critical for hosting the site)

I would keep hostgator and put up new websites. One website alone is not going to make you money. You can simply set up new niche blogs and monazite them, they could be running on autopilot for you. There are plenty of plugins to do this. You can set up product sites and promote CB, Amazon or other affiliate products. You can set up review sites. It takes not much more time to build links to those sites than it does to your Pips sites.

Well we have had so many changes recently that I lost count on what to call Pips 3.1.

Wow. Let me start at the top of the pile. For the first time in my history with PIPS (8 years) we always had Getresponse as the default autoresponder for PIPS.

Well as of October 24, 2012 we now use GVO's autoresponder as the default - all new applicants have GVO automatically.

Existing members can switch - however if you have upgraded Getresponse you will need to wait until the next billing cycle so that you don't lose your money (I doubt they give refunds).

If you want to switch please note the following.

I can install the autoresonder and configure it, load it with messages and update your PIPS website (your domain) with the new GVO web form for people to opt-in (subscribe) to your newsletter.

BUT I cannot do anything to help you move your subscribers or anything else that you may have going on at Getresponse. You will need to work with Getresponse and GVO if you are moving contacts or etc.

So really the people who may opt to switch over to GVO might be people who can make a clean break and start fresh with a new autoresponder.

You are also free to stay at Getresponse as long as you want to, of course.

There has been a lot more happening besides the AR switch - some are already apparent, some will just impact me in the back-office (system enhancements) - so nobody probably wants to hear that.

All I can say is whoever said "There is Nothing Constant Except Change" must have been a PIPS member! LOL!

Always changing for the BETTER!

In a way besides improvements always being made, and in spite of some experiments not going the way they were intended, I really believe change is always good.

There is nothing worse than a RUT or being stagnant. No fear of that when "the times they are a changin'" is a given!

... and I feel a lot of strength afterwards when I am able to 'roll with the punches'.
