Hey PIPS! New year is coming fast, Warriors!

It's An Exciting Time and In a Challenging Time as well, more so than ever.

The best thing I have heard is really we need to 'EXPECT TO BE HAPPY'

...and we need to keep our chins up {"buck up" (mateys)}

and just shine on any obstacles we may perceive or encounter.

KEEP ON KEEPING ON - that's about all we can do sometimes!

It'll be okay: GOD is IN CONTROL.

Happy New Year to you and all of our PIPS partners!

I haven't been here for a couple of days because of my wife! Her place of employment closes for a couple of weeks at Christmas, so she is home all day for a few weeks.

A couple of years ago, we started a new Christmas "tradition." She is a puzzle fan, so while she is home at Christmas, we spend a lot of time sitting in front of the fireplace doing jigsaw puzzles. It's my chance to "do something with her that she likes." It's fun and is a change for me (even though it takes me away from my computer.)

Also, we have entertained various family members over the past few days. Today, I'm trying to catch up on blogging and forum activity.

Hey you are right! I am early! I am in such a hurry for a change!

Well my thought was actually that we would build this up over the coming days to have a word of wisdom, greeting or blessing from as many PIPS Warriors as we can! :D

(by new years everybody is tired of 'happy new year!' :cool:

THEN WE HAVE LUNAR NEW YEAR ON THE 26TH! So we will be down with both solar and lunar new year in about a month.:D

All the more to celebrate (don't forget MLK Jr day on the 19th!;)

Hi, Charlene:

What a great idea! Never thought of renting a hotel room in a prime location to view the fireworks!

We live in a tiny town, so we'd have to go to the Big City (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) to do that.

However ... this past summer the wife and I WERE sitting at the top of the giant ferris wheel for part of the fireworks display one evening at the close of that day's summer fair celebrations.

Would have been a bit more romantic if we weren't sharing the experience with three giggly teenage girls (strangers to us) - fine for me, but wifey kept giving me the evil eye! ;) :D

Here we are it is New Years Eve EVE. Time to get excited and get all your papers organized and energize your home office with some space and oxygen! lol.

Get those last minute tax deductions. Don't wait until January to buy printer ink cartridges or printer paper. Get them before January 1, 2009! Need a new file cabinet? new PC? All perfectly legitimate tax deductions for a homebiz.

I will get my money back when I file in April. Yay!

I was just sick last year when my tax guy said i could have had more deductions.The year before that I had too many and only so many can count - we still have to pay something

TAX DEDUCTIONS

I hadn't been to the eye doctor in 4 years with no insurance. I went last week and it cost me $600+ TAX DEDUCTION

New glasses for the PC/reading and now I have to wear them to the store (only if I want to read the labels) the whole cost is the lenz except like $200.

Man, computers will kill your eyes if you don't take care of them. My friend went permanently blind in one eye and the doctor said if he had just come in the year before they could have saved his site. (LOL sight)

I went from 20/15 to 20/50 in 4 years. so the new lenses will bring me back to 20/15

Hope everyone has a fantastic Hogmanay (aka New Year's Eve here in Scotland)!

I've been pretty busy over the last week with family and friends so haven't done much work, but it has been great to relax before starting a big month in January!

What are you all doing tonight?

I am off to a big Ceilidh (the one below) to dance the night away.

It’s that time of the year again, when we think of what we have achieved, our plans for the future and all those resolutions we intend to keep and usually don’t !!. I would just like to wish all pipsters a great night and enjoy the festivities whatever you are doing.
