Adding a Forum To my PiPs site

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if this is even a good idea for my PIPS site...I would eventually like to add a forum to my website once I get it more in tune and up and running better. I new when I first got my PIPS site I wanted to write and use it as a place for people to come visit and it be a wonderful and useful place of information in which they could use. I want it to be unique with my site and different, however, I am a little slow at getting things changed and some of the techie stuff, so I'm planning to pay for my article marketing in the beginning and put a little money into it so I'm not throwing out anything unprofessional and blaahhhhhhhh to people.
The warrior forum I do want to add access to it from my PIPS site, but the kind of forum I have in mind would be a focus on other hot topics of interest such as fashion or entertainment, health and fitness. I think this could be a good addition to any website, but I would rather get opinions from some of the experts in here first because I know there could be much work involved in doing an off topic forum on your website. So I would pick popular topics for the forum such as some mentioned above.

Hi Jenny,

First of all great thinking on your part to "envision" what your site and business will be in the future and what you want to accomplish. I used to own 24hourwealth.com and added a forum after several years of good rankings and good traffic. A forum is alot of work. You can have moderators help you with posts, etc but this should be an "extra" to your site once you have outstanding traffic, conversions, sales, and experience...

I've got to agree with Jeff, a forum is best after you have built your site and have a steady stream of visitors. It's also a good idea once you have built a downline in your programs. it could give your team a place to go and talk.

But, when you are just starting out all a forum is going to do is take you away from your goal of building your site. There's a lot of Noise on the Internet, a simple way of saying stuff/junk that will distract you. Al that stuff creates questions, should I build a article directory?, should i build a forum?, should i use wordpress?, should I use joomla?, does my site look good?, is the color right?, and what about all the make a million bucks programs and blah blah blaaaaaaah.

Honestly, forget it all. Learn one form of marketing and master it. Then learn another form and master it, and so on. Once you have the marketing down pat and your business is running, then go and play with all the fun stuff.

These are wonderful tips & suggestions and very helpful to me and I really appreciate your professional opinions on this. Great points to remember for sure. Thank you so much fellas, now am off to do some more backlinking...yayyy, so fun, but I can feel success headed my way with each one I do. I'm currently doing Pauls and Angelas packages.
I came across a really awesome forum the other day, and I'm sure some of you may have come across it already, but it was pretty cool and worth checking out if you don't know about it already. It's called Youngentrepreneur! :-)

Again thanks for the tips, because I do invision my website to be that successful in the future because I do have a clear vision of what I want to focus on, but I want it to be unique and like no other, with lots of extras to keep people interested and I know some of the hottest topics on the planet is health and fitness. With all the topics I'm interested in at the moment,which are hot topics, I know others are also.

This is very good advice, so since I'm focusing on article marketing, I just need to focus on spending my time becoming an expert at this, so I totally get what you're saying on that, and that's a great point to remember.
