Looking at your existing domain names you provided above, I can honestly say, good luck... you will need it. You currently only have 1 dot com domain name. By looking, the majority of your domain names are geographically identified by the .se (Sweden). I see you have a LOT of FREE domain names... the ones that end in .co.cc - these are primarily subdomain redirection url's. I highly recommend NOT USING THOSE domains as they are almost invariably linked to SPAMMERS. I normally only use, and I highly suggest anyone that wants to have a legitimate online presence, should only use a .com domain name for a primary website. I did a quick search for "Product Key Shop" and there are only an average of 260 searches for those keywords. A good rule of thumb is 10K searches or more per month with little competition. Also, when one looks at the sites located with this keyword pharse, most are hacker sites that provide crack keys to software and such, so that others can steal software from other companies. Not exactly the type of site I would want my name associated with. Now, to answer you question - Yes - a good keyword rich domain name is very important. Figure out your niche, do some serious keyword research, go to your domain registrar ( A legitimate one such as GoDaddy or NameCheap) and find a domain that suits the niche your are attempting to get into. Since nobody knows who you are online, it's best to put your best foot forward when starting out. Being aligned with and considered a spammer (even if you aren't... most of your domains would indicate to a lot of internet marketers that you are, or could very well be)... So, get a good domain .com, .net, .info name and start making some money. I hope I have explained clearly enough about the domain names. Best of luck Allen |

Would being born with the name "FZHS*IKSJSJSJiteinenene" be a social hindrance?

I would recommend 2 things. 1: You need to have a domain name that has .com in it. This is a must. 2. You need to make sure that your domain name has work at home or home based business or make money online keywords in it. This will make a huge difference. So follow the 2 steps and you will be OK. |

The key with SEO, I have found, is definitely NOT to go for the keywords that everyone else is going for. If there is a lot of competition for "work at home" or "home based business" or "make money online", then there is no use going out for those keywords unless your SEO techniques are better than the hundreds, thousands, or however many other people's techniques that are also being used to go for the same keywords. Instead, attempt to go for low competition keywords, like niche-specific/location-specific topics with a few thousand searches each month. You can easily get to the top of Google for these types of keywords, and you're traffic stats will thank you for it. |

What you say about high competition keywords is true, Jared. However Long Tail Keywords could include those keywords but are their own 'format' - for example 'work from home business opportunities' - or 'homebased business making money online' (these are just random examples - not specifically researched)

To some extend domain name play roles for success. But that's it. After your site is running successfully, domain name does not matter anymore.

Hi, Your domain name is a factor (what percentage of a factor is certainly up for debate). Rest assured for example if you trying to rank for "work at home" and you have "work at home" in your domain name does certainly help you. You still need good content, on page and off page optimization, etc but it does help you in rankings but the debate about how much rages on.....LOL You can have a site ranked on page 1 for "work at home" and not be included in your domain name but it sure does help if you do... I would stick with the .com TLD's as you don't see much high ranking websites using other domain extensions.

I would always go for .com domains only. These domains are more global and not limited to one country alone. You can also try .biz, .net incase you are unable to find the domain name. Domain name are very important as it’s catchy and attracts people for its simplicity. I can give you an example- Facebook was started as TheFacebook.com, until they purchased facebook.com for $200,000 in the year 2005. I guess you understood the importance of domain name.
