Which Marketing Technique Has Worked For You Best
 

I know there are many experienced online marketers in this Forum and I have read many posts concerning marketing. However, a few members have pointed out what has worked for them best, which could also help us. It's for that reason that I'm coming up with this thread.

I would like each one us, who is willing to share with us, to tell us which marketing technique has brought the best results in his/her marketing campaign. I would love to see more coming up on how and recommendations. Hope to learn a lot from your submissions.

Overall it is article marketing to build backlinks and implement permanent advertising on the internet through article directories, blogs, etc. using the best keywords (best=relevant to your business, not the most competitive but one in the mid-range of search popularity).

Now this is a one-off but actually the most successful thing I ever did when I was marketing. It was actually incredible.

It can only be done with a program that gives you something like a 'fast start bonus' - for example - they pay you $20 of the $24.95 it costs your customer to join, and they pay within 2 weeks.

You offer to pay the first month's dues for people with their promise they will stay in the program for at least 2-3 months to give it a try. So you pay $24.95 -signing up directly to the program for them. You are only gambling with $4.95 because you are guaranteed, whether they keep their end of the bargain or not, that you will get $20 directly from the program for the sign-up.

Only 1 person stiffed me (I lost $4.95) and I made hundreds of dollars within 3 months.

(It also probably helped that this was the criteria to join (pre-launch) to a forced matrix program which was free to join initially and the only requirement was joining that one program referred to above). (and riding the tidal wave of advertising that program was doing). However, the 'pay it forward' technique can be used with or without any other program).

I am really convinced that the one Pat has shared to us is the best, article marketing. That's why I am trying out my best to learn good English and hone my writing skills, so I will also be able to maximize that opportunity (article marketing) too. Soon, we'll get there. But for now, while learning the ropes of article marketing, I see forum marketing (good posts/replies, plus outrageous signature) really helps.

I enjoy blogging, but blogging alone doesn't get you traffic; you need to promote your blog posts in some way. The direct way is to post the links to each new blog post in all of your social sites and through bookmarking services like OnlyWire.

The indirect way to promote your blog posts is through effective keyword marketing. Here's what you can do: write a blog post based on a thoroughly researched keyword or keyword phrase. This will help it get indexed faster by the search engines.

Then, write a new article on the same topic but with a different keyword and submit it to article directories. Make sure to use the Author Resource Box in each directory and include an anchor text link pointing to your original blog post. The anchor text should be the keyword phrase that the original blog post is optimized for.

The more article directories you submit the article to, the more backlinks to the original blog post you will get (along with some targeted traffic), PLUS this will help the original post to move up higher in the search engine rankings. Get to page one and you'll get more traffic!

I noticed that writing articles is like magic. I wrote only 2 articles for my blog and I have already received comments from people that are not in my subscribers list. I submitted articles to enzine (I already have a enzine article on 1st page of google) , ideamarketers and other directories and I have got a lot of views in only one week...
These articles also rank 1, 3 and 9# on the first page of yahoo search engine.
I will track the results as long I published them.
