Hi, Everyone, I added blogger to my website and then ran a site mapper. The site mapper picks up my blog page, but does not list (or see) the archives or current posts. I know that blogger uses "flash", how do I get the blog archives, etc listed to "sitemap.xml"? And if not, does Google and the other spiders know the info exist? If the archives and current post are not listed, will this affect page ranking? I'm old school, still trying to understand what "flash" is! Thx, Dan |

The site map tool you used may have been set to only crawl so many levels deep? Blogger doesn't use flash, at least not in a way that would hinder your blog posts from being indexed. That would be rather embarrassing if that was the case considering Blogger is owned by Google. Try signing up for Google Webmaster tools and submitting your RSS feed for your blog as a site map. If you get more back links to your site your content is much more likely to get indexed in a timely manner and more importantly rank well in the search engines. Regards, Mike. |
