Id like to point a few things out, to make sure my message is clear. 1) I realize the incredible value of PIPS 2) I understand the concepts of hard work, and no quick reach scheme. 3) I understand then when starting a new career you have to start at the bottom, my goal is simply to gauge my starting point. A little of my backstory is, I took 10 years of working in jewelry stores, which was a passion of mine, learned bits and pieces of computer and eBay over 15 years, I then in 07 started my own ebay business, having knowledge of ebay, buying jewelry. The business grew, as feedback and traffic increased, it grew more, I couldn't get enough - even if I worked 60-70 hours, I would still have energy. Of course lessons were learned, I did not have the full skill sets of running an online business (accounting/liabilities/etc). Aside from selling some of my inventory in the last year, I sold products that would pay a commission. I would like to learn more about internet marketing, what is required, so I can go into pips with a focused and realistic strategy. When searching in google, I often come across 'IM Businesses' rather than training or information I need, which to no surprise is SEO related. Any tips are much apperciated. |

Focus first on completing the PIPS training as it has many topics including SEO. Then going forward I would learn everything possible about SEO. Things change all the time and like any industry you need to keep up with the protocols. The bottom line is it is about back links and unique content. Valuable content not spammy advertising and selling. Just content that is related to IM. Remember search engines can make you or break you. They can be your best friend (free organic traffic - targeted if you use your keywords appropriately) - or they can be your worst enemy if they detect or even suspect you are using blackhat gimmicks to 'put one over on them'. Social networks are also very important to search engines so it is good to learn as much about them as you can and participate. Using Web2.0 strategies will really help you. Be consistent and aggressive. Waiting for something to happen never works even with all your affiliate links and website being 'out there' - nobody will ever see it more than likely unless you promote it. Be patient with yourself and the process. Don't get discouraged. There is no magic here. "Success is still spelled W-O-R-K". Have fun with your business! |
