how-to-do-it help?

I have no idea how to successfully 'upload' a new 'webpage'
to my existing "Plug-In-Profit" website.
I'm trying to start a new business, but I can't afford to
pay anyone to do this 'upload' for me.
So, I have to figure out how to do it myself.
Can anyone teach me, or point me to a good (FREE, please)
learning resource?
I'm BRAND NEW to this 'forum', so . . .
thanks in advance for any assistance, suggestions, etc.

Since the site is built on the Wordpress platform, all you need to do is go to your WP dashboard and click 'Pages' and then 'Add New'. Paste your stuff in there and save it.

All changes that you want to make would be through the Chameleon Theme Editor or as above in some cases like posts and pages you would use Wordpress.

There are some instructions in the 30 Days to Success training right now around Day 15. There will be tutorials on Chameleon around Day 1.

Please do not upload anything to your cpanel Wordpress files as you may ruin your installation and may lose your content if I have to rebuild it. (the theme however I can usually re-install IN WORDPRESS if you get into trouble with that.

Good idea to write down what the default settings are before you try to change anything so that if you subsequently have problems, you will know how to merely change the setting back to the default configuration.

I'm sorry, but I'm still completely confused.
Video 15 has to do with 'Wordpress',
which I thought you said I shouldn't
mess with.
What is "Chameleon", & where do I find it?

I think you are confusing the 30 Days to Success training which is for PIPS members and concerns their website (which happens to be built in Wordpress) and sales page etc.

Then we have the Newbie Training Videos one of your bonuses. This is just general information and much of it shows you what you WOULD DO IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY HAVE A WEBSITE and/or Stone Evans training for internet marketing.

If you go back and read the sales page - we have already provided/installed a website, hosting account, autoresponder, wordpress, etc. Everything you need to start a business online.

Now if you want to build an ADDITIONAL WEBSITE/BUSINESS that information will be helpful in the videos and some of it will explain a lot of things you are learning about from Stone in the training.

Day 15 of the training does go into how to login to the Wordpress blog we set up, etc.

So again, I hope we are talking about the same thing and not the videos.

Perhaps I've managed to confuse myself,
so let me 'back up' to the beginning.
I'm a "Plug-in-Profits" system member.
I'm trying to 'download' a copy of someone
else's 'webpage' in order to make it
MY OWN 'copy' of that webpage.
Then I can get traffic to it, make sales, etc.
that will be MY sales, rather than THEIR sales.
Doing this would probably be VERY easy for someone
who knows what they're doing; I don't.
Therein lies my problem. I'm a 'technical newbie'.

OK - so you must separate everything you just said from your PIPS website/membership.

It can definitely be done.

Get a domain
Get it hosted
Install Wordpress in your cpanel
Login to Wordpress
Pick a theme.

You can add a campaign for this site to your PIPS Getresonse autoresponder. or use the PIPS campaign messages..

From there you have the foundation. Then you just have to figure out how to add banners and specific things you want to include.

If you want to mess around with somebody else's format you will have only their support.

If it is a Wordpress theme you can easily upload it to the Appearance/Themes/Install Themes function in Wordpress.

There is tons of documentation and quicky lesson guides all over the Internet (just 'google it' google.com)

Once you have the foundation then you can DEVELOP your idea.

* there are also various services offered by warriors - see warrior for hire and help wanted sub-forums - they might charge you one time up to $50 or something to do all the above for you.

be sure they have documented references and have been around for a long time. (lots of posts/years warrior member) and written guarantee.

Note: If you just recently started PIPS can you see how all of the above is counter-productive to learning how to use the system we have provided?

You can duplicate everything Stone teaches you for another business or website - but don't you think you should focus on what you are doing right now and what you will know = how to use basic functions, what terminology is referring to specifically.

You have to start somewhere - the beginning is always a good place to start.

You have to crawl before you can walk.

If you lose your focus and go all off onto all the other things you want to do, well you can see how you will likely not succeed with PIPS.

NO PROGRAM WILL WORK UNLESS WE DO.

Hi Tom...Welcome to PIPS and to having the guts to start your own business online.

It sounds to me like you are trying to download exactly what you see when you go to this other "website". I presume it's a WordPress Blog. There really is no way to download this persons webpage, however, you can copy the source code and then paste it into an HTML editor.

Do you have an html editor? Something like FrontPage, Dreamweaver? You can get a free html editor at KompoZer - Easy web authoring

But, believe me, it's NOT worth the time and effort you will have to go through to modify it and try and make it yours. First off, there could be copyright infringement issues. Not worth it my friend.

If I were you, the first thing I would do (which I did a little over 6 years ago) is go through the 30 days to success program that Stone has provided for your business education.

Next, get yourself a WordPress tutorial and study the heck out of it. You can get all the information for free at

Start with the very first lesson and spend time going through each lesson in order, one at a time.

Starting your business is a step-by-step process, it's not a hundred yard dash that you can jump out of the starting gates and get to the tape at the end in just a few seconds.

It takes TIME... especially if you want to do it properly.

If you are financially strapped... it is going to take you much longer to get the information you will need to really get your business off the ground... but, you CAN do it for free if you are willing to take the time.

One more excellent FREE program is: OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

This is very similar to the MSOffice suite of products only doesn't cost you thousands of dollars. Also, as you move forward in your business, it has a text to PDF conversion tool that is outstanding.

Again, take your time... it's a long way from 3 posts in the forum to having a successful online business. It IS worth the wait though.
