Do you want your own Signature for your blog

I recently came across this resource for adding your signature to your blog posts or anywhere for that matter. The service is free and generates a life like handwritten signature.

just click on mine below.

Hi Graham,

Cool tool - thanks for sharing.

I usually make something in Word and then do a screen shot but this is much better.

Cheers,
Suzanne

Wow, thanks Graham.

I saw this feature on another blog and thought it was cool. I have been looking for weeks for something like this.

Thanks again

Leon

PS Going to men's night at the casino tonite, will leave some of those slips of paper laying around with your web on them ;)

Cool Graham! Now to add the signature to your WordPress blog you can do it in two different places:

Note this is not for the codeaphobes! (Don't fear the code!)

First download the image and upload it to your site somewhere, the example below is in the images directory.

If you know how to edit WordPress theme files look for the area in the single.php file and index.php file similar to this:

<?php the_content('<p>Read the rest of this entry &raquo;</p>'); ?>

Then place the image under that line something like this:

<img src="http://www.YourSite.com/images_directory/imagename.png" align="left">

You may need to mess with the alignment or add some space around the image too.

You should backup the files you are adding this to before messing with it and your theme may require a slightly different location. But you get the idea?

I might do a post on this in the future with more details but its Super Bowl Sunday today..... GO STEELERS!

Hi, Graham:

This is very neat! As others have said, "A cool tool!"

I plan to use it ... but I have a question for discussion here: Is there a risk of unscrupulous marketers copying and using your signature for questionable purposes?

I suppose if it was a copy of your true and actual handwritten signature, the risk might be greater, but this appears to be computer generated, so perhaps that reduces the risk.

Or maybe my concerns are totally unfounded?

What does the community think about this?

(And thanks again, Graham. I will eventually be using this cool tool, too!)

GT :)
