increase technorati authority

Technorati authority is about how many blogs registered with Technorati are linking to your blog.

By increasing Technorati authority you are increasing the traffic from Technorati to your blog. and traffic from Technorati to your blog are better than Google traffic.

If anyone interested to increase Technorati authority to our blogs lets exchange links, you can add links in your post; you don't need to build a link page like static page.

Here is m exchange blog

I would love to see some evidence to back up that claim!

I actually thought Technorati was slowly fading off the map so it would be good to see actually how much additional traffic is generated by increasing your authority and more importantly how well it converts.

Mike.

Re: increase technorati authority

you can go to the popular blogs there visit a blog and see how many people visits this blog (by the comments posted), or you can contact a blog author who have a high authority blog.

I cannot support this fact, the same that no one can support any other marketing fact.

and by the way you don't need to do it.

once (2 years a go) technorati authority was determined by the number of favorites, (how many people favorite a blog) and the top 100 blogs were getting more than 400 hits per day from technorati a lone.

and i am almost 100% sure that the top 100 blog on technorati now getting more than 1000 hits per day and more RSS subscribers than any other blog on the net.

technorati is still the most popular blog directory and blog SE. even after GOOGLE is trying to take it from them.

and after all it's an idea.

You can quite easily track whether Google traffic is converting better than Technorati traffic. I assume when you say better you mean coverts better? One of the best things about internet marketing IS that you can support a lot of claims via tracking.

Why don't you need to do it? Why would I spend my time trying to get traffic from Technorati if it isn't going to convert well?

I never said it was a bad idea and I am interested in seeing the results.

Mike.

Re: increase technorati authority

Actually, there are 2 things which I currently do which have helped to increase my Technorati Authority, now at 108, although they were not done specifically for this purpose. My Technorati Authority is still not that high but decent I guess, I like to share how I do these here.

1. Blog Commenting
This is how I managed to get lots of backlinks and since it does take time to do this, I focus only on do-follow blogs with the top commentator list. I usually target about 10 of my favorite blogs. I just make sure I am one of the top commentators and will constantly revisit the blogs to check that I remain in the top commentator list. This is purely for backlink building.

At the start of the month, when most top commentator lists are reset to 0, I will comment on many new blogs. This gets me to be the top commentator list but more importantly I get a Technorati Authority point for every new blog that I have not commented before. Eventually, due to time constraint, I may not remain as the top commentator but it's OK as these blogs may not be my favorite and not the 10 which I maintain my top commentator status.

2. Blog Contest
I do look out for blog contests and I write in to the blog owner to offer myself as a sponsor for his contest. In all cases, they readily accept as they need lots of sponsors, the more the better. I get a huge increase in my Technorati Authority (besides the linkback of course) when all these people start to participate in the contest and link to the blog post as part of the contest requirement as he/she needs to mention all the sponsor names and blog url.
