How is the Best Way to backup or copy my PIPS Site? I have had my PIPS site maga sized and wanted to back it up so if anything was to happen I would be able to replace it--not sure of host4profit does a back or how offten, but they most likly do. I just want a cope so I can save it in my home backup system. Any help would be appreciated Thanks John |
Re: How is the Best Way to backup or copy my PIPS Site? Well you could download your files from your ePanel to your desktop using FTP. You could also save those files to a disk. And you could find a free backup service like Mozy that could backup your files online. Dave |
Re: How is the Best Way to backup or copy my PIPS Site? Hey John - there is a back up function on Host4Profit and it zips it all up and you save it to your hard drive. Look in the web panel. BTW: you need to take out the HTML brackets from your signature - use [ and ] and not < and > You may as well just delete the whole thing and start over because it is safer like that since you can no longer see what was there when you edit it. OK..you need to: login to your webepanel at http://yourdomain.com/menu find the icon that is called "website backup manager" and click choose the ZIP file format click "create my website backup" then you get to a page with a link - just click it, the backup is now on your computer! You have to UNZIP this file (right click - extract all files) thats it - your'e done! hope this helped! Kym |
