What's happen to Empowerism International *(NOT related to Empower NETwork)
Share on:

I'm at a lost because I do not know if Empowerism is still active. And judging from the forum it to looks like it has not seen anybody since December last year.I joined Empowerism a long time ago and in that time I have done a great deal of Advertising and still do to this day.Now I do not know whether I should put my promotions on hold or continue working.

Does anybody know if Empowerism is still active.? I tried to visit my Empowerism website but all I keep getting is the website of another member (Ping Fun U ID 228902.I then tried to login and got this messages:

Please try the following:Contact the Web site administrator if you believe that this request should be allowed. Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.

I even play around with my browsers, cleaning out cookies deleting unwanted files and still can't login.Would someone please tell me what I do not know.It would be really sad if Janet Wilson CEO of Empowerism decided to call it a day after all this time.So so sad.

We dropped Empowerism several months ago from our core programs.

However Empowerism Online Business Opportunity - International Success Mentoring and Global Online Business Opportunity is still there.

Interesting though it also gives me old Ping Fun U ID 228902 and I am typing "empowerism.com"

I don't have an affiliate ID I can try so I am not sure if the site is being spoofed like "Ping Fun" or if this is for real - but I am very suspicious that both of us rotate to the same affiliate?

Did you try to contact their helpdesk? When I go through the 'contact us' on the site

http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hcp...or_expire.html
Your request could not be completed because the account you are trying to reach has expired.

Even worse when you click 'Get Started now' it just sits there... (doesn't go anywhere)

This is a bad sign and I can't believe Janet would just disappear without even announcing the program is shut down (if it is).

Checking whois the domain is still registered to Janet.

Hello Patrician,

Good to see that you’re still in control of things here at the forum. And judging from your photo the years have been very good to you. Thanks for the speedy reply but I just don’t understand what has happen to Empowerism. I even followed Stone’s link because I know he is one of the top performers over at Empowerism and evens his link does not work. So I have crossed my finger thinking and hoping that it is something has gone wrong with the Hosting and that sometime soon everything will be up and running as normal.

Otherwise this will be a real sock to the system that I have spent a great deal of my time promoting Empowerism for nothing and of all the programs that I have promoting Empowerism was the best because I was seeing results from all the time and effort spent advertising.

'’Gutted I am’’

The other thing Pat was that I still had funds on the account from commission payment that I had not even considered with-drawing. However seeing your pretty face again makes me feel a lot better. I’m hoping for the best.

Thank you for all the kind words, Dear.

I sure hope that Janet will make good on any money that is owed to you and everyone else.

I do recall several months back when Stone asked me if I had talked to her because she had not responded to several emails and that wasn't like her. (I hadn't) It would also not be like her not to pay commissions timely.

It could be that she is sick or something has happened to her - and hopefully it is temporary and she will come back and make things right. This was right at the time he dropped the program. Again, I just can't believe she would just blow everybody off quite unethically and illegally owing money to people.

Please let us know if you hear anything and I will also post here if I find anything out.

Here's hoping what is only right happens...

God bless.

It looks to me that this program is shut down. None of their JOIN NOW buttons work.

So it looks like the website is still LIVE but the affiliate program is DEAD.

Pat I just can’t help myself; it’s the way you make me feel.Somehow I hope your right. However the program does appear to be not active but the Empowerism Forum is. ‘’Just’’

Of all the programs I was promoting Empowerism was the best. But somehow it’s left me with a bad taste in my mouth just thinking what was, what could have been and heart felt feelings go out to those who have lost out big time.

‘’Pat’’ check this Forum link to see what some of the other members think. Empowerboard Discussion

I can remember the time I had a problem with Empowerism website and she called me on the phone to reassure me that everything was just fine and that I should not worry, and just when I was about to put the phone down it hit me like a ton of rocks thought come to mind that was a real nice lady to take the time out to give me a reassuring call. And all I did was work hard knowing that I had her in my corner and that should she need a foot soldier I would have been willing to step forward first.

Sorry - I can't access the forum as I am not a member.

Please tell us some of the comments you are referring to.

Weird that the forum is the only thing working - I wonder how/why that is?

... and also strange because in the past no matter if it was once every year someone mentioned Empowerism, at least one person would come out of the blue to answer the question or comment on the post. I wonder where he is now?

I can't remember his name -he was a mod on the Emp board - It was almost uncanny and I never could figure out how he would always know when someone mentioned Empowerism but we never heard from him otherwise. I am sorry I can't remember his name because he was very helpful...

I found this post on the Empowerism Forum
End of an era
Posted December 02, 2011 09:07 AM
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: After 13 years in business, Empowerism is closing the doors at the end of 2011. By its very nature, the company is only sustained by members selling subscriptions. Over the last two years, subscription sales have all but stopped. It was our expectation that those who were anticipating faster payouts from RSVP and MVP would work toward selling subscriptions, which would mean larger, faster payouts. But that has not come to fruition. In fact, those waiting on RSVP & MVP to pay out have been doing just that: waiting. Unfortunately, the company has been losing money every month for the last year, even after cutting expenses to the bone. Supplementing it with personal funds each month to keep it afloat and pay commissions is no longer an option. No credit cards or bank accounts have been charged since October and we will not process any charges in December, even though I marked your subscription and RSVP/MVP renewal as paid if you were on auto-renewal - and paid commissions on those renewals. I will continue to honor commission requests through December, although some checks may run late since it's all coming from personal funds as there has been no income for 2 months. Please note that AlertPay is no longer an option for payment, as they are having problems and there's no way to fund the account. I know this is disappointing news to several of you - believe me, it breaks my heart to have to do this. But when there are no sales, there is no income and no way to sustain a business or even a website. I wish bright, joyful futures for you all. ~ Janet

Wow. Thanks John.

Well it's very bad news but sounds like there is some hope for people getting paid eventually, and Janet is just behind a bit according to the dates she gives. So maybe, just maybe she will pay people that are owed like DreamLoverSky who just left his commissions in his account.*

The way RSVP and MVP were going - slower than slow, I had given up leaving these to my great, great grandchildren figuring they would cycle about the time I had any. (no grandchildren yet), I gave them away to someone who might live long enough to see the payout when I quit the program (since you have to be 'active' when it cycles and I knew I was getting off that railroad).

RIP Empowerism...

* Note here - For ALL programs, even with Paypal or AlertPay - when a balance gets to $50-100 I transfer the funds to my bank account. I will gamble that far only. Because you never know what can happen - even with a long-running, legitimate program, you just never know -

So let this be a lesson to everyone - you have to take some risks but make them small. Protect yourself.

Pat babes, Please except my apologies for the bad link. I know I should have checked first. Thank you, for the heads up to John McRae for his informative post.

However I still feel very gutted, ‘Now who do you trust? And I got that feeling of ‘once bitten twice shy’.

Empowerism Board - file:///C:/Users/Goldmint%20Marketing/Desktop/Empowerism%20Board.htm

John I will have to go back and have a good look around to see what else was said. Who knows Janet might see my post. And although it was not a lot of money I might get lucky because I had no idea that they were closing down the business. And it would have been nice if we were all informed before they had made that decision.

I get a domain not found message when I try going to empowerism. I guess I should have cashed out. I know I had some money sitting in there.

In certain circles this was discussed back in November 2011 and the post in December 2011 sealed the termination of the program.

Let this be a lesson to manage our own business more carefully. After all, we join the programs and we are responsible for monitoring the programs success or failure.

Facts:
1) PIPS dropped Empowerism 2011.
2) Empowerism informs members on Dec 02, 2011 that they are closing the doors.

This is February 2012, two full months after Empowerism informs members that they are closing the doors.

Personally, I will not complain because I am responsible for my business. I do not hold that Empowerism or any program I vest in is responsible for managing my business.

Personally, I contacted all of my clients before Dec 2011 and suggested that they take a hard look at Empowerism. My clients know that I will not suggest how they manage their own business. However, they also know that if I stop promoting a program, there is a very good 'business reason' behind my decision.

Jeffery’ I Like the way you say in certain circles most where informed of the decision to close. I’m not complaining because I know it don’t make sense to do so. And your right it’s a business. But if we are all in the program together. ‘Why was I not informed. I never did receive an email of any kind, informing me with regards to the closing down of the program. Had I missed a payment I know I would have received something. How I found out was that I was checking my banners when an Empowerism banner that I clicked on did not work.

Some online marketers like to keep checking into their account for payment or sells with fingers crossed hoping for the best. I would much prefer to just get on with the job in hand and if I make a sale or recruited a new member so be it. And from one marketer to another you know that the biggest job is to promote and advertise to the masses. And not worry about the account until later.

So had I be informed at the time I would not be feeling like the BIG DUMP FOOL that I am. And it does not make me feel any better knowing that Janet Wilson could do such a thing. I’ve spent years promoting and building back links and now that the program has gone what would you suggest I do with all those dead links.?

Nobody likes to click on a dead link

Deep down I felt she meant well and that something else went wrong.

Do not do that again!

Yes, you are complaining "‘Why was I not informed. I never did receive an email of any kind, informing me with regards to the closing down of the program." That is between you and Empowerism.

You went into business with Empowerism as an individual and had you managed your business as an individual you would have know they were closing the doors by visiting the forum in Dec 2011.

Disagreed. Speak only for yourself - do not speak for me or assume you know what I know, okay. That is not my "biggest job". You may have learned that is the "biggest job" from Empowerism or somewhere else, but I am way beyond that level of marketing. I am not a know it all - at all.

You are not a BIG DUMP FOOL and should not feel that way. If you take anything away from this.. every business ends at some point or the business evolves into a new business that leaves partners behind or moves them forward. Don't get to comfortable with any business and never get emotional because getting emotional often leads to rash judgement. Don't make rash business decisions based on emotions.

Hold your head high and walk tall. Show some respect for yourself.

I joined Empowerism as a result of PIPS and went with it for a while and paid my monthly fee.

The biggest tragedy with it was that it looked for all the world to be a good prospect but for me it just didn't happen and I made a business decision some time ago to drop it.

I knew when it was removed from the PIPS opportunity that it had sadly run it's course,

Mal.
