Well, this is quite interesting. Thanks to Google Alerts (what would I do without them!) I was tipped off about this post that a guy by the name of Jeffrey Sloe wrote about Web Prosperity. No biggie... except the post had my name in it! You're probably thinking what I was thinking too. You HAVE to read this... Faith Based SEO Services: What's Happening with Web Prosperity? So anyway, a little surprised and embarrassed that I was mentioned (especially the comment he made), I decided to leave a comment. I have posted the comment below just in case Jeffrey decides to delete it... "Hi Jeffrey, Great post on the subject. Since you quoted me in your post, I thought I should stop by and give my input. I joined Web Prosperity mainly to see what kind of value the tools side of it had. As you may already know, the tools were lacking in the biggest way. Now, the other side of things is the matrix system. The way the matrix is setup tends to make it look like a scam. I'm not going to say it is or isn't... I'll leave that to your readers. Is it illegal? Who knows... that's not for me to decide. Overall, I didn't see much value in the system, although I do think it is possible to make money with it. Of course, I was hopeful, as many of us were that Web Prosperity would deliver in the biggest way. To me, that just wasn't the case. I pulled my videos, links and pages related to Web Prosperity because if I truly can't believe in an opportunity, then why promote it? With that being said, I am not a "self-proclaimed internet marketing expert" as you carelessly stated. I don't profess to be a guru and know all the answers. I'm quite far from it to be honest. My goal is to continually educate myself and build my primary business, and in doing so I can teach and share my strategies and experience with others. Sincerely, Alan Mater" If you got down this far and still didn't read the post then you're missing the point. When it comes to the internet, your reputation is all you have. Google Alerts can help you BIG time with this. Apparently someone noticed that I took down the page and videos. I honestly could care less. But... when it comes to someone throwing my name around as Jeffrey did, that's something I can't ignore. Oh... and did you see that Stone was mentioned as well? What are your thoughts? |

I posted my comments on this blog. Pyramid scheme is such a boring phrase thrown around by people who do not even know what that means. Stone has addressed the fact he made a mistake in a program he was in several years ago. Web Prosperity is not an illegal pyramid scheme nor is just about any mlm program online today. I did not join it for my own personal reasons. Everyone sees their own value in things online and this one wasn't for me. But it might be o.k. for someone else. That is one thing I like about the PIPS program and having a website that I can customize myself. Most affiliate programs do not allow you to do this. |

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the input! Seems you're not the only one as there's now another comment after yours. I never thought it was a scam, but it just wasn't for me. |

I haven't joined Web Prosperity yet and I probably won't at this point. However, from my understanding, it is not a pyramid scheme.

Im not sure that the OP Alan is asking for opinions on the actual scheme but rather asking about the use of his name in a quote that could possiblly be out of con text. On line reputation counts for a great deal in some circles and I would personally be concerned if my name were being used to suport the sale of something which I would not choose to endorse. I will be setting up the appropriate google alerts my self. |

Google Alerts for your name is a good idea, and if you come across something you certainly can address which he did very well!

Pyramid Scheme? I thought those were those fake info-mercial trips to Egypt that cost $199 per person... |

Thanks for the support guys! This guy obviously doesn't have a clue what he's talking about and is quite ignorant about what a true pyramid scheme really is. Even though that subject isn't on topic to my OP I think it's beneficial for others to know. |
