Have any of you upgraded to the PIP Mega site? If so how do you like it? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Well - when I tried not all of the programs worked so I didn't go through with the whole thing but I did take some of it and place it on my site and I must admit I did think about transferring over a good chunk of it but I never got around to it. I've got a few days off next week so I will try and get a look at it and see about transferring over the pages to programs that I did manage to sign up for. The latest upgrade to my site featured a Feedburner feed from my blog which I put on last week which I am quite please with so hopefully when I've done this it will be even better. |

I have the megasite update - check out my site: Internet Business Training Program When I first got it I went through every page, every link. Some links were broken so darrin fixed them. I dont know what Stuart means above about joining programs. Aside from the ones you have the option to join when Darrin is collecting your info - before he proceeds with the work. All the products etc are already encoded with your clickbank ID # so its all go! For the price, I think its a good deal. It makes your site more unique and gives you an edge over the other 'unchanged' pips sites. Darrin can help you with this - find him in this forum. Suzanne Morrison also has some excellent update services available (not sure about mega site) you can find her here in the foum too! Kym |

Hi Kym, The version of Mega Site that I tried was the one that was available for download in the back office under bonuses a few months back. When I went through the set up I tried to set up a couple of the affiliate programs and they didn't work (either dead pages or problems with registration - I can't honestly remember to be honest) I still have that downloaded old version so I wil review the outputs and see if the registration issues that I had were just temporary. I will just need to regenerate the pages to get it going again. I'll let you know how I get on with it and more importantly whether it was something I did that meant I had problems (pretty likely I'd say ) |

Hi Gunther, I have a mega site and I have also added a few more bits to it. In the absence of the mega upgrade, you might want to contact Jeff Houdyschell, you can find a thread of his in here somewhere. He can do a wordpress powered site for you.....That would have been my preferred option if I had known about it sooner. Cheers, Graham |

Truth be told, the Mega site is not worth the money. You get a great big site with lots of pages and they are all duplicate content. One mega site is like the next so it is not unique. You will get an article directory with a lot of articles in it. The page title for all the articles is the same which is not good for Google and other search engines. Plus, you and a few thousand other people all have the same articles. They will not help you get search engine position and some people are of the opinion they might actually harm your search engine rank. You will need to learn HTML to upgrade your site and it could be a long process. I would suggest getting a content management system such as WordPress or Joomla. If you have not done anything to your site go with WordPress and get a WordPress Powered PIPs site. It is easy to add content such as articles plus it's easy to add banners and other things on the side columns and even in your post. Wordpress is simple and looks terrific. Plus it can be optimized easily with simple plugins. Jeff (houdy) is the person to see for Wordpress. He can make an entire WordPress Site for a very reasonable price. WordPress Powered PIPS WordPress Powered PIPS Of course Joomla is also available and is a very good option but it will require more work. For those inclined it is a good choice. If you have a mega site already you should get really busy. You have a lot of articles to rewrite. That is exactly what I would do with most of the articles that come with the site. On my site I have been in a slow process of deleting them. |

Hi Gunther, I recently upgraded to MEGA, to check out the site see my signature below. But I'll be making a lot of changes to it. Especially in terms of unique content and SEO. I agree with Stephen that this is neccessary. If you're to upgrade you need to be willing to put in the time and effort needed to change and search engine optimize the 75 pages of your site... If you don't know a bit of HTML and SEO that might be a tall order. Of course you can learn these things, but it's going to take time. And I don't mean a few days. I'm talking weeks, perhaps months even, depending on your current skills. It might make more sense to go with the Wordpress based site, then add more and more of your own unique content as you go along. Don't think to upgrade to MEGA and then have Jeff switch it to Wordpress for you...he doesn't offer the service for MEGA site's, there just too big for his liking :-) Hope this helps you, Jim B. |

Lots of good information. Thanks to everybody for their input. I think I will probably go with wordpress since I'm not HTML inclined. |

I got a Mega site early on myself. I then took the time to learn how to and did SEO every.. single.. page.. one ..at ..a ..time... I also changed some of titles of the duplicate articles that all other Mega sites have. I don't know how many hours it took, I would guess at least 20 or even more. Then I decided to change the look of my site, and spent another few weeks messing around with it. I never got a dime out of the extra programs but maybe a few ClickBank sales. Add only original content to your site and its easy with a blog, and the traffic you get from an article directory will probably mostly be from the people posting articles and many of those may be automated anyway. |

I got the MEGA site back in 2006, and there are some good things and not so great things about it. It makes your site look very busy, and sometimes I think keeping it as simple as possible is better than a cluttered site when it comes to your website visitors who want something clean and straight-forward. Some of the affiliate programs associated with it have not be at all useful in my opinion and I have since deleted them from my site. In line with keeping things simple, it just adds more programs than the core PIPS programs: SFI, Empowerism, H4Profit, TrafficSwarm. In my opinion, those are all you need! I don't think learning HTML or SEO is necessary just because you get the MEGA site. It adds some articles to your site, and while yes, they are all the same, it does add content and has not hurt my rankings in the least. As long as you keep adding fresh and unique articles and content and pages to your site and blog, I don't think the MEGA site will do any damage. However, I agree the real beauty is learning how to make your own changes to your site, because then you have the freedom to add or subtract or enhance what's there. Liane |

It isn't that difficult to make new pages and add new content to your PIPS. You need a template (Suzanne Morrison makes one for you) to make new pages and you need a web page builder to build the new pages from the template and add content. You can download a free website builder at KompoZer - Easy web authoring - it's good and easy to use. Of course it will take some time to learn how to do these things, but it's worth it. Once learnt you can add as much fresh content to your PIPS site as you like! And you never have to learn HTML! |

I agree with Steve. Sorry to say I spent the money on a mega-site and I am going to get rid of half of it because a lot of duplication and sites I do not want to promote. Cheers....Leon |

Hello, I have the Mega Site and you can see it in my signature below. Like was said earlier, some of my links were broken, but Darrin fixed everything for me. I also thought the site was a little busy with links and pages, so I removed some of them. Anyway, I like the Mega Site; I am just starting to personalize it a bit. Best regards, Sandy |

I got the Mega Site early on and have had mixed feelings about it. It is a little busy and somewhat disjointed in its organization. Adding the PIPS video and peel-away has given it more of a focus now. In any case, it has been difficult getting traffic to this site. I'm not quite sure why.

I've read all this Mega sites info and it's really confused me a lots as a newbie like me. In case if I upgrade to Mega site and do not know HTML, then I won't be able to fix or delete and I get stuck with Mega sites? Thanks KT52 |
